I started using this as an alternative to pine, which my cat did not like. I appreciate the natural smell of these pellets and they don't turn to powder as quickly as pine pellets do, which is nice. I have had a weird experience with this litter in that I smell little or no urine for about a week and I started using this as an alternative to pine, which my cat did not like. I have had a weird experience with this litter in that I smell little or no urine for about a week and then all of a sudden the litter box smells terrible - I guess the walnut works well until it doesn't. I have to change this more often than pine litter and it's a bit more expensive, but it's the next best thing if your cat doesn't like pine pellets. … more

Dang it. I was in a hurry to get my auto ship order in and I bought the right BRAND (I love Naturally Fresh CLUMPING Walnut Litter!) but didn't notice I was buying PELLET litter... I wonder if I can use this in a pellet grill? I have a feeling it won't go well with my cats when they look at that litter Dang it. surprised!
By CrazyCatLady on Feb 26, 2021
Wasn't sure how my cats were going to react, but they throw a lot less litter out of the box. And they are not as intent on digging to China...they get in and get out when they're done. The pellets keep the odor down which is great.

My cats like it
By hipquest on Feb 18, 2021
I actually mix this with pine pellets to get the mix that works for our needs best. At home with all wood floors and on our RV no grit is essential. A couple of tips for removing solids, throw away the scoop and use disposables gloves to pick it up and/or kitchen tongs. Very little wasted litter and a lot faster. Also, using tongs let you flush instead of putting into the garbage.

4 Paws Up for this product
By GusMom on Nov 27, 2020
I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the Breeze pellets, and found this litter worked perfectly in tandem with the Breeze pellets. Our cats also like it better. We mixed it into one litter box, and they continuously used that one more. The walnut litter absorbs odor better and absorbs the pee while following through the Breeze litter system. The Breeze litter works great on the solids. Recommend!

doesn’t work for me
By Lilly on Aug 30, 2020
I have multiple cats and have used the walnut litter for years. Decided to try the pellets and bought two bags! It’s horrible for me. I cannot see which litter needs removing and ended up scooping away large amounts of litter on days 1 and 2. Money wasted for me.

Pelletlitter

Much better than Tidy Cats. Absorbs fantastic however doesn't mask the ammonia smell very well.

Truly an awful product
By CFME on Aug 5, 2020
This litter does not have any odor control at all. A fresh litter box starts smelling like urine only after 1 use. The pellets also do not really absorb any pee at all.

No to Low Odor and keeps the dog out!
By Christina on Jul 31, 2020
This is the only litter I buy for the following reasons: - no tracking - with two large male cats, it has virtually no odor ever - the only litter the dog won't stick her nose in! - I only need to put a couple inches, so the bag lasts a long time.

Odorless odor control
By Margaret on Jun 27, 2020
This is a fantastic product for those used to using the pine pellets but looking for a break from the pine smell. The odor control is unreal; I smell nothing from the box. It still has a little bit of dust, though not as much as pine. One thing to be aware of is it holds moisture a little bit more than the pine, and if you wait too long to change the litter some mold can develop. Overall I love it!!
