    Low dust a plus, clumping not so much

    I originally purchased this because it was biodegradable and purported to be both low dust and tracking plus a clumping type of litter. After trying it alone, using various of the different varieties, I was never satisfied with the clumping factor. The clumps tend to break up as soon as you try to lift I originally purchased this because it was biodegradable and purported to be both low dust and tracking plus a clumping type of litter. After trying it alone, using various of the different varieties, I was never satisfied with the clumping factor. The clumps tend to break up as soon as you try to lift them out of the litter box and fall thru the scooper. I still liked the ecological factor and the low dust/no tracking factor so I came up with my own solution. Unfortunately I have to add about 1/3rd clay litter to the mix to facilitate clumping. Not the best solution ecologically but it’s that or either buy 100% clay litter which I don’t think is as good for my lungs or my cats’ lungs. I also find this version best for odor control. I would recommend this conditionally with the knowledge that it doesn’t really maintain clumps and the manufacturer recommends bagging and disposal in the trash. … more

    My bathroom is covered in red dust

    I want to love this litter. My cat has a terrible skin allergy to clay litters so I’m very limited in litter choices. This stuff clumps well, sort of hides the poo smell, and is relatively affordable (in my category of non-clay litters). But OMG the dust.
