Feeding Instructions

Hay should the greatest part of your pet's diet (at least 70% by weight), with Meadow Menu making up the rest of their daily rations. Recommended vegetables, dried herbs and certain dried roots can also be offered in small amounts twice a week. Suggested feeding per pet per day: degus 0.3oz chinchillas 0.6oz. Ensure clean water and good quality hay is available at all times.

Transition Instructions

Due to their specialised digestive systems we suggest replacing 10% of your pet's current food with Meadow Menu each day, so by day 10 they are completely switched over. Meadow Menu is naturally low in sugar and has no easy-to-eat grains, so pets with a "sweet-tooth" and more used to a more sugary/grain-based diet may need more time to adjust to our hay and herb-rich pellets.

About Naturals by Rosewood

Unique Foods

Meadow Menu foods are free of grains, GMOs, artificial flavors, colors and preservatives, with no added sugar or salt. They are also cold pressed rather than heat extruded, as heat can destroy beneficial plant micronutrients.

For Unique Pets

No grain or soy means that over 78% of each recipe is composed of fiber-rich meadow grasses and plants. That makes these foods ideal for helping your pet maintain good dental health and a properly functioning digestive system.

Closer to Nature

Naturals foods are made from only 100% natural ingredients—mainly meadow grasses and plants. Instead of using just one grass species like Timothy hay, they use a balanced blend of over 30 different grasses and herbs. This provides a rich and varied source of phytochemicals—healthy plant compounds—including flavonoids, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins.

Super Premium Diets Made From Optimal Ingredients

Meadow Grasses

Meadow hay containing over 10 different grasses provides a balance of protein, minerals and long-strand fiber.

Herbs are an amazing source of beneficial and sometimes unique phytochemicals, so each recipe contains over 20 different herbs.

Beneficial Seeds

Flaxseed, fennel and black cumin supply essential trace elements and unsaturated fatty acids, including omega-3 for healthy skin and coat.

Provides inulin, a natural prebiotic which feeds and encourages the growth of beneficial gut bacteria for good health and digestion.

    Chins won't eat it

By scooby on Nov 29, 2021

I purchased this food to give my chins another healthy pellet option. Mixed with their other food to change over but they pick all of this food out and throw it on the bottom of the cage. May be nutritious but not on the bottom of the cage. Will keep looking for their preferred nutritious pellets.

    My degus' favorite food

By Degu on Oct 2, 2021

My four picky degus won't eat any other pellet food, and we've tried them all. With the other foods, I was throwing away most of the pellets at the end of the day. With this, their bowls are pretty much empty by the next feeding time. It's unfortunate that it's the most expensive option, but it's worth it to make sure they're getting the nutrition they need.

    Disappointed Chin Mom

By KatDsell on Sep 26, 2021

I bought this because it seemed like a perfect food, unfortunately Gizmo doesn't like it at all. I held a piece out to him like a treat, so I know that he tasted it, but he won't eat it. I mixed it really well with his old food but he just picks out the old food and leaves the new in the bowl.
