    The only thing that works

    By on

My poor cat Odin (10yr) has always had a sensitive stomach since we adopted him when he was 8. Nothing helped, we tried many different foods and doctors visits. We couldn't get him to keep his food down. He would throw up daily. We tried this and now he only throws up hairballs every so often! I'm so thankful for this product! Our cat is gaining weight and is able to eat without throwing it up. I finally feel like a good cat mom. Love this product!

Worth a Try if Nothing Else Works

    By on

I was near wits end when I tried this product. My cat is approaching age 15 and has been losing weight over the past year, dropping from 12lbs to 9lbs. He was vomiting food or clear liquid on a regular basis, which the doctor attributed to his thyroid (and prescribed meds) and his poop had such a strong foul odor that I could smell it clear on the other side of my apartment. I've tried various food enhancers, high calorie gels, and even a prescription appetite stimulant, and literally nothing got him back to eating on any consistent basis. I gave my cat a first full 1/4tsp dose mixed in canned tuna juice. By the next day, I noticed no smelly poop or spit-up on the floor, and he started eating I was near wits end when I tried this product. I continued to sprinkle 1/8tsp on top of his food at each of his two daily feedings, and about 2 days in he finished nearly a full bowl, and at the same amount twice a day for about 3 days. He backslid a bit yesterday (day 6), barely touching his food, but today he ate about 80% of his first bowl. This is definitely a must-try for anyone who's cat has stopped eating and won't respond to any other approach. The lack of smelly poo and spit up is a benefit all by itself. … more

    Works great so far

    By on

I have a 21 year old Abyssinian cat with a history of IBS who was diagnosed with kidney disease over a year ago. About two months ago he was not eating much, was losing weight and he started having diarrhea. I thought he might be in his final days. My vet suggested I try the expensive well-known brand probiotic. Both my senior cats hated it and it didn't cause any improvement. I then decided to give Nature's Pharmacy a try. It is very inexpensive. You only mix a little into the food once a day with the little scoop which is included. About a week later, the diarrhea and smell stopped and he started eating a lot. He likes it in his food and has been doing great for the past month. I know this I have a 21 year old Abyssinian cat with a history of IBS who was diagnosed with kidney disease over a year ago. Helped a cat recover from giardia

    By on

I had a cat show up on my balcony and we couldn't find his owners, but he came with giardia - terribly smelling poops, constant diarrhea. The medicine made the diarrhea even worse. Even without giardia and meds his systems were still all messed up, so poops were bad. Once I started to give him this and also switched him to raw food - PERFECT hard poops. I would maybe just add some pumpkin to soften it up now haha. No smell and he finally has normal regular movements. I don't know if this supplement alone did this or everything together helped but I recommend. I add it to the food of all of my (four - oh god!) cats and they all eat it fine.

Smell Reduced, & My Cat Enjoys the Taste

    By on

I feed my cat a mixture of raw food and dry food. He was having pretty bad smelling bowel movements, but after mixing this with his dry food and salmon oil the smell has been reduced. I live in a small apartment, so smell reduction is very important to me. The first two meals he didn’t want to eat the food with probiotic, but after a couple weeks of using it he loves it. I accidentally spilled some of the probiotic on the table when making his food, and he licked it right up. A review mentioned there being a measuring spoon in the container, but I didn’t see one. Not a big deal though!

    It’s okay! Helped a little

    By on

This helped a little with our cat, but not how we had hoped. Plus he figured out when we put it in his food and then wouldn’t eat. No real problems with it, just not the results we were looking for.

    This works!

    By on

I bought this based on the reviews and I'm glad I did. This is less than half the price of Jackson Galaxy's probiotics, in a larger jar and this one seems to work a lot better. My cats have very sensitives tummies and so far, so good!!

Fingers and Toes crossed on this one

    By on Top 250 Contributor

I have a cat that has had diarrhea since he was born. Since he's pretty much feral, I've never been able to grab him and drag him to the vet. So, I've tried all kinds of probioticis, cat food, antibiotics, etc. This one seems to be working - his stools are aren't yet, BUT they aren't running all over the floor either. I would definitely recommend this product, but start with a smaller portion in the beginning and work up to the full 1/8 tsp.

    Older cat with chronic diarrhea

    By on

I've tried several types of prescriptions and probiotics for my cats chronic diarrhea. He will not eat any food that has the meds in it and I cannot get them into his mouth. Other brands of probiotics in food he also would not eat. I saw these reviews on line a week or so ago and decided to try. He actually eats all the wet food with the probiotic in it and the accidents have stared to be less frequent. I'm hoping with a few more weeks a daily use my old kitty will better soon. I also plan on giving this to my other cat the keep him healthy.

    Very effective

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

This is a very effective product, and it is the only one I have tried that both my cats will eat when buried in their wet food. I tried Fortiflora and Tomlyn Pre&Probiotic - neither cat would touch their food when either product was sprinkled on top (although the Tomlyn product worked great when I disolved it in water and injected it in their mouths with a syringe). Nature's Farmacy has the right micro-organisms for cats (including e. faecium) and high CFU count. My one cat has been very very sick with pancreatitis and on antibiotics for 3 weeks. This has really helped his gut and stools.
