  • Great value, small bits

    By on

I purchased this for my Shih-Tzu of about 12 pounds. These are small pieces and therefore great as training reward for most medium to large breeds. Often many people oversize the reward when all the dog needs is a little taste to make them want to obey you in hopes of earning another taste. The reason I did not mention small breads is because they are very hard and the larger pieces are difficult for a small dog to break down. I even fear dental damage so I have been picking out those larger, harder pieces. He loves them and they are good for his health. I could try to break down the larger pieces in a food processor but I plan to give them to a friend with a larger dog. A better liver option I purchased this for my Shih-Tzu of about 12 pounds. They are thin strips that are very easy to break into a desirable size. Available online. … more

  • My dog loves them

    By on

As soon as I took the bag out of the shipping box my dog was trying to get some, which is usually a good sign. The treats have a pretty mild smell (for humans) though. My dog is allergic to poultry, so beef is the most mainstream protein she gets. I like that they are single ingredient, and high protein. The treats are a bit large for my dog (30 lb Keeshond), but I was easily able to cut or break them up into more manageable pieces to use for training. If you’re looking for a high value treat for your pup, give these a try.

  • We love these

Amy is 15 lbs. She has never had beef liver before but she loves these treats. They are very crunchy so I give her once piece and she needs to properly chew it. I love the fact that it is only one ingredient and it’s all natural.

My 3 dogs absolutely loved this treat, including my very picky one! I like the fact that it is very crunchy, which helps keep their teeth clean.

  • Little Rocks in a Bag

    By on Top 1 Contributor

These treats are so hard that after a few chews the dogs spit them out. It sounds like they are crunching little rocks. Way too hard for them to enjoy.

  • Huge hit in this house!

We have a Golden Retriever that doesn't particularly like the cookie-style treats, she loves these though. The treats are broken into various sizes too so we can treat big or small depending on the level of good behaviour!

  • Dog couldn't digest one.

    By on

My dog got one of these treats at night. The next morning she threw up. I thought it was a piece of plastic. I called Natures Logic to tell them what happened. They asked me to send them the piece my dog threw up. I did, and they said it was so hard it must have got caught on the drying racks for quite awhile and then fell in the rest of the pieces. It was really hard. Probably true but all of the pieces were hard.

  • Unexpected crunch

    By on Top 250 Contributor

I love Nature's Logic products, but I am not too keen on the crunchy nature of the liver treats. I am impressed with the fact there is only one ingredient. Be aware, though, that these are not soft, nor do they have a freeze-dried texture. They are hard and need to be crunched by your dog. My dogs love them, though, so I'm glad I tried them.
