  • She eats it & likes it.

    By on

Catfood is so hit-or-miss. Most of us have tried everything but this flavor and its chicken equivalent from Nature’s Recipe are 2 foods my cat consistently eats. She takes liquid thyroid medicine & this food has a nice thin gravy that mixes well with the medicine. When I first tried this tuna version, she ate the sauce only, but she’s come around and she will eat most of it, then come back for the scraps an hour later. She does well on this brand.

  • Great wet food

Have a pretty finicky eater but when she likes something she's a steady customer. I know they say cats are obligate carnivores but she seem to prefer foods that have some veggies. She also really likes the gravy. This brand was not regularly available at local stores but so far Chewy has always had it.

  • My finicky cats love this!

I have 2 spoiled, finicky cats that love this food. I do have to pick out the few peas included as they seem to annoy one of my cats, but both eat every bit of this and love the gravy.

  • Truck the Cat loves it!

Our 2 yr old Maine Coon, Truck, loved the salmon and veg, so we tried the tuna. He loves them both. More so than the straight flake fish. Attached photo taken after getting a belly full!!

  • For A Cat With Food Allergies

    By on

We have a cat who has had food allergies for several years. This is one of the few foods that she can eat and enjoys. The only thing I would change about it is that none of the cats here like the peas they include in it. They wolf down everything but invariably leave the peas in the dish.

  • Good, but the discontinued line was better

I got this when Nature's Recipe discontinued all three of the varieties that my highly allergic cat can eat. The old ones were better for him, but this will do for good days. When he is having a flare of his pancreatitis (a result of years of allergies), this is too high in fat. He won't eat it, or if he does, he vomits it up. One of the old ones was both low fat and low phosphorus, and made with fish (no other protein source), which is ideal for him, as his blood tests showed. I haven't found any other food that he isn't allergic to that has all these characteristics. If this cat didn't have such stringent limitations, this food would be fine, but he does, and I regret strongly the changes in I got this when Nature's Recipe discontinued all three of the varieties that my highly allergic cat can eat. Previously it offered characteristics that were hard to find in commercial food. Now it has joined the mainstream. Unfortunate, in my view. … more

  • Peas for cats?

    By on

My cat really likes the tuna part of it, but being a cat, does not eat peas. At first she would take them out and lay them on the ground next to it, now she simply eats around them, so the last third of the food stays uneaten. If your cat eats peas (or any type of people food), this would be great. If not, get the Chicken: that's the best one!
