Dogs love it
Our dogs developed a poultry allergy so we had been feeding Nature's Recipe Large Breed Chicken...easiest change over to this one. We just had to change the protein to Salmon. We chose Nature's Recipe because of the ingredients...they removed the green peas (which dogs ARE NOT supposed to have) and feweat recalls of other brands. Besides the girls LOVE it.
not for us
I’m quite surprised by the positives reviews for this, my dog usually has super silky fur and no dander. After a couple of days we noticed his coat was ruffled and he started to have dander come off. He also won’t eat it now. This is the only thing I changed. Thankfully Chewy has a wonderful customer service.
Great for all dogs!
After adopting my Rottie 3 years ago, we couldn't figure out why his digestive issues were so bad. It took us 8 months, and 5 different types of dog food before we noticed a drastic change in our dog's issue after starting him on Nature's Recipe Grain Free Salmon dog food. It took about 2 1/2 weeks after starting him on this food to notice a change, but once his diarrhea, gas, and itching went away, we knew that this stuff was the secret! To this day, we aren't sure if he has a grain allergy, or maybe it's the salmon that helps, but we are so happy to have found an affordable option that he loves! I only wish it came in larger bags! My dog is 150lbs and the 24lb bag lasts him 2 1/2-3 weeks. Not a huge deal, as we typically have been buying 2 24lb bags each time we order.
Great dog food
We switched to this a few months ago and have been really happy with the food. My dog is sensitive to a lot of foods and will get skin allergies but this food doesn't cause any allergies and the dogs eat it well everyday. It's a good grain free option and is decently priced.
Good stuff
I prefer to feed with grain free salmon as precaution for food allergies . So far , so good , and everyone is happy,
Good value
I have two Dogo Argentino dogs, with food sensitivities. They love this food, the only reason I didn't give it five stars cuz it hasn't really helped with their skin. Skin irritations but this is one of the only dog foods that my dogs will eat without hesitation. The price is great.
Stinky Butts
My pups didn't mind it, we gave it a go for 3 months. All three dogs ended up with terrible gas, smelts like a house with sewer issues. I think the ingredients are good, its just not a great option for our household.
My dog seem to like it.
I cut open the bag and my dog started whining immediately she couldn't wait for me to put it in the bowl I was ordering the same flavor but inexpensive brand it's saved me about $60.
Miracle food
This food is expensive but amazing. My Chiweenie just turned a year old. She had a sparce coat and patches missing, she didn't look well, I bought her this 3 weeks ago and she's had a remarkable transformation. Her coat is full and shiny. Beautiful.

My dog was having skin issues from grain and wheat switched her immediately to this an her skin problems went right away I highly recommend
