Learn More About Nature's Recipe From Our Team of Experts
Customized for Your Dog's Needs
Whether you have a tiny purebred Chihuahua, a dog with a sensitive tummy or a Great Pyrenees with skin issues, Nature's Recipe has a specialized diet for your pet. Their Special Needs line includes Breed Specific, High Protein, Easy to Digest, Healthy Skin, Joint Health and Healthy Weight recipes to cover every pet's needs.
Just the Right Size
Small breeds have different requirements than larger breeds when it comes to their daily diet. Nature's Recipe has several unique offerings for each size. Small breed meals focus on sustaining your pup's energy with food that's easy to digest. And large breed formulas help maintain strong muscles and joints as well as the proper weight.
High-Protein Recipe
Nature's Recipe Adult food keeps up the energy your dog had as a puppy and powers your active dog's metabolism and alertness. High-quality protein from premium sources like chicken and lamb help maintain your adult dog's lean muscle mass.
A Meal That's Easy to Digest
Any good dog food should be highly digestible and easy on your furry friend's stomach. Easy to Digest is a formula that gives your dog the proper nutrition so his body can absorb a higher percentage of nutrients. This leads to better digestive health and colon function.
Shiny Coats and Healthy Skin
A healthy, strong coat gives dogs protection from the elements and is a good indicator of their overall well-being. Healthy Skin recipes offer high-quality venison meal or vegetable-based proteins, omega-6, linoleic acid, copper and zinc—ingredients that support the skin, coat and immune system.
Mobility and Joint Support
Joint Health uses two premium protein sources loaded with amino acids, along with a dose of vitamin C, for natural joint support. There's a delicious combo of catfish meal and chicken meal in this recipe, and DHA is added to support brain function.
Weight Management
If your dog needs a weight management plan, Healthy Weight can help keep him on track. This formula has L-carnitine to metabolize fat, soluble fiber to make your chowhound feel full, and high-quality protein for leaner muscles.
About Nature's Recipe
Nature's Recipe uses only natural ingredients and specific vitamins and nutrients to keep dogs and cats healthy. Their premium pet foods never use ingredients like beef, corn or wheat that tend to cause food intolerances. They include quality protein and nutrients without artificial flavors or colors because they believe your pet deserves only the best.

Does this need to be refrigerated after opening?
Answer by • May 14, 2021
After opening please cover and refrigerate the rest.
Max really likes this wet food but I don't like the long list of stuff that's in it. But unlike a lot of Lamb canned food it actually has lamb and not chicken fillers. The purpose of spending the money on lamb is to keep Max from having skin and digestive issues so limited ingredients and no other meat for fillers is importan. So 5 stars from Max and 4 from me. PS: Max is a 65 pound English bulldog and Pitbull mix.

Smokey loves it!
My dog is a chocolate lab who loves this food. He jumps up and down until his bowl is on the floor.

good morning food
Sorry, this was a bust. She loves the other Nature's Recipe food I have gotten, but she turned her nose up at this one.

Disappointed
I have been getting this for my senior pug and she likes it but this last round one case was dry. I had to add water to it so she could eat it. She does not have teeth and can not eat it when it is dry and stiff like that.

2 Cans Came Busted
two of the cans came busted in the package. They already had mold growing on them so there was no chance of preserving them in any way. Disappointing as i read good things about the food and chewy is usually great about shipping

My Dog's Fave
It takes a lot to get my girls to eat sometimes but they love this wet food. I use it as a food topper because it's pricey, but I like that it has veggies in it. The dogs don't seem to mind either and I've got a couple of picky eaters :p

Agree with yucky nasty
The food looks and smells disgusting. I got it because they were out of the chicken in the same brand and my dog would not eat it at all.

Great replacement for prescription food !
Our 13 year old rescue, Jethro was diagnosed with pancreatitis recently and put on a prescription veterinary dog food. I was very low on food after 2 weeks and could not find it anywhere due to the pandemic problems of trucking to warehouses, etc. I researched and found that Nature's Recipe Lamb Stew was highly recommended for dogs with pancreatitis. Yes, my loyal Chewy had it and shipped right away. Jethro loves it which is saying a lot since he tends to be somewhat picky. Eats it twice a day every day, right down to bottom of his bowl ! Our little one, Scarlett (toy poodle 9 yrs) loves it too.

Goldendoodle loves it !
Had to switch Foods because natural balance canned food quality plummeted (black pieces inside food). Got this for my picky goldendoodle and he runs to it ! I mix it with his dry food , which he will not eat alone, and he cleans the bowl! The gravy must make the dry kibble taste just as good lol
