Not so good
I tried this food because it was 4+ stars. Neither of my dogs are liking it. I slowly began adding it and both of them actually picked around it. Now I see by reading the reviews that other dogs are sometimes getting sick, diarrhea gas, etc. I wished I had read the reviews first before buying 2 bags. My own fault.
My dogs started vomiting.
It was time to change food even though they were doing well on the previous food. I slowly blended the old with new, they became very gassy, then a week later started vomiting. Went back to the old food Pro Plan Lamb, now doing great .
My dog loves it
My dog is picky, he had gotten to the point he knew if he didnt eat in 1-3 days he would get human food or canned mixed in so I tried this and he doesnt fight me on it anymore and has ate it everyday. So I think we both are very happy with it. (We had tried royal, science diet, Fromm family, and a few others and he lost interest fast ) so far he is still eating it regularly.
Dog does not seem to like
We recently adopted a dog and purchased this food, but he does not seem to like it. We've tried boiling some chiken and rice, no problem eating that, or treats.

Warning...2nd ingredient is chicken meal for those with allergies
I've fed my aging dog another of the lamb recipes from this brand for a while now but decided to try this "mature formula" because I noticed joint health and immunity. It was my fault for not checking the ingredients but I assumed lamb and rice would be the top ingredients based on the front of the bag. My poor dog has spent the past 5 days scratching like crazy before I thought to check the ingredient list because he is allergic to chicken. Chicken meal is the 2nd ingredient which means there is a lot of it in there. I was about to book a vet appointment but then the light came on for me to go check his food. I just wanted to warn those who might have the same assumption I had.

Great Choice
Couldnt get Purina One so decided to try Nature Recipe Mature , so far so good my dog seems to love it. So I will order it again. I have been a customer of Chewy for a few years now and have never had a problem I love the service and so does my dog always checks out the box when it comes.
