Great puppy food for pit bullies
Not grain free (suspected of causing heart issues later in life) and no chicken. Most pits are allergic to chicken and it seems like every puppy food contains it. I happy we found this on Chewy. My pit bull puppy loves it. No stomach or skin issues.
Nature's Recipe Puppy Lamb & Rice
I have a six month old Goldendoodle who is over 50 lbs. and he really like Nature's Recipe Puppy Lamb & Rice. He seem to be doing good on it with no problems. I will use it for the next six months and then start him on the adult Nature's Recipe.
Great dog food
My Doberman has a delicate stomach but has never had issues with this food. I’m glad it’s not grain-free since they suspect heart issues with grain-free food. It has really good vitamins and minerals that puppies need, better than most brands on the market. My dog loves it. It’s also a really nice size for putting into treat balls or using for training. The pieces are about the size of a pea. I’m sticking with it until she’s 18 months and then I’ll use their adult dog food that has grain. If the adult food is larger I’ll likely keep this on hand for the treat balls.
my dog won’t eat it..
my dog won’t eat this, he will smell it and walk away… I am having a really hard time with his food because he is allergic to chicken and there aren’t many lamb foods for puppies out there.. I wanted to give this one a try but he just won’t eat it…
Very tasty!
My mom recently introduced me to this new puppy food. I really like it! I get so excited when she fills my bowl. The kibble is small for my tiny mouth....yummy!

Not the same
I was assuming that this dog food would be the same as I Purchased in the store. They change the style of of of the food it was it’s like pellets and the other I bought was a flatter piece and the dogs would eat it easier they are turning in their noses up at this food. I have chihuahuas and they are very picky
food switch
Bought this after figuring out my Pitbull is allergic to chicken! Within a week he was so much better! It’s a great food!!!
10 months and thriving
When we discovered our golden doodle puppy had issues with chicken, we started him on this lamb and rice formula. 10 months later and he’s a thriving 50+ lbs boy. We’re so pleased with the puppy formula that we’re going to transition him to the adult kibble in a couple of months.
Hard and Salty
Started integrating this food into my 3 month old puppy's diet. Immediately we noticed this food was a lot harder than the purina, we would hear him struggling to chew. When he was 3/4 natures recipe and 1/4 purina he started peeing uncontrollably. Our puppy was pretty well house trained and this was totally out of character. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this for puppies!!
