Yuck is yucky for humans!
By lp30 on Feb 26, 2021
My low rating is due to my not knowing if it worked on my cat since I still haven't tried it on him. Why? Read on: My cat eats plastic every chance he gets. His favorites r store bags but I put them where he can't get them; don't kno how he does it but he'll find other plastic things I've hidden &/or forgotten. When he began eating the shower curtain, I asked Chewy for help & they suggested Yuck. I thought I ordered a small bottle to try but, instead, the bottle that came is so big, my small hands can't go around it to spray which I realized when taking it out of the box. WORST of all - it was shrink wrapped in plastic so I never touched the bottle, just the wrap; since I knew I couldn't spray My low rating is due to my not knowing if it worked on my cat since I still haven't tried it on him. WORST of all - it was shrink wrapped in plastic so I never touched the bottle, just the wrap; since I knew I couldn't spray it due to size, I put it back in the box & a bit later, I put a finger to my mouth & the taste was HORRIBLE! I probly washed my hands 100+ times & 2 or 3 days later, the taste was still on my hands & took almost a week b4 I didn't taste it! I planned to pour some into a smaller bottle so I could spray it but, to date, I haven't been able to touch it again. Instead, my shower curtain is thrown over the rod when not in use & it's worked so far. So, re Yuck, my rating may not b fair & if it was used to keep me from eating something, it'd b 5 stars!! It might get a child to stop sucking thumbs or get someone to stop chewing fingernails but I don't kno about animals, esp when u think of other stuff they eat! … more

Very Disappointed
By GBMOM on Feb 8, 2021
I bought this product only because the one I typically buy was out of stock. Boy do I regret that. I found this to be ineffective compared to the brand I normally purchase. Furthermore, use with caution, if you get any on your hands you will regret it for the next few hours. Also, when sprayed on non fabric surfaces it rubs of leaving whatever touched it subject to the residue that does not want to come off. I will say it does taste awful but was very ineffective for my dog. Will not be purchasing again, and will go back to my normal brand.

Bitter yuck spray
By Dempsey on Jan 18, 2021
My order came super quick! Like the next day after ordering. My German shepherd puppy is about 4 months old& constantly chews the dry wall, and hard wood flooring and boxes that I keep my children’s toys in, I sprayed a few sprays on each thing she chews and she won’t bother it. But once it wears off she will begin to chew all over again, so need to keep re applying to the hot spots . But the scent is very strong when I first apply that it would choke me up. I always cover my face with my shirt when applying and give it a few minutes to die down but after that there is no scent to what it is applied to. It does its job when it comes to the no more chewing. I will buy again.

Doesn't work
By LynnBee on Jan 27, 2021
Puppies had zero negative response to this. They actually licked it after I sprayed it on some table legs. Meanwhile, the humans in the house could taste it in the air. It's definitely gross... to humans. So, if you're looking to keep your kids from chewing on the table, this might be useful, but for dogs? Not so much. Gave it to a friend in case it would work for her...she had the same experience. There are better options.

it provides some help
By rockit on Dec 31, 2020
The product works, though at different degrees of effectiveness depending of the type of surface, timing and stubbornness of your pet. I noticed that it works better on non-porous surfaces within a short time after application. Have to spray generously for my dog to get a flavor of it and walk away. He's less interested on some items after a couple of days. I used on shoes and had to spray a lot more due to the porosity of the fabric. Having mixed results on plants, though he walks away when the spray is still fresh. Would give it a 5 start if the flavor would stay longer and therefore minimize the need for more frequent spraying. Will continue using as supplementary help until i get the The product works, though at different degrees of effectiveness depending of the type of surface, timing and stubbornness of your pet. Bitter Yuck spray
By Joyce on Feb 3, 2021
This product really solved my problem. One of my dogs kept chewing the collar off the other. I bought at least 6 different collars. None of them lasted more than a couple of hours. I sprayed a little of this on the new collar. So, far that collar is on over a week later!

Can't think of an appropriate headline
By ArchiesMom on Jan 5, 2021
Meh! It works on somethings, but not on others. I think it has more to do with my pet's determination than his distaste for this product. I sprayed the boarder of the pee pads because he loves to grab them and run with them. Or just hang out and chew them to shreds. Yes, he has a lot of chew toys and is well fed quality food as well as getting lots of play time with me and others. He just has a devilish sense of puppy humor.

Do not buy!
By Chewie on Jan 8, 2021
Terrible product! I went outside with the pup while my husband sprayed two baskets on one side and within a minute he was complaining about tasting the product and not sure how. I come in about 10 minutes later and also taste the product in the air. Threw it out right away! Along with my expensive baskets! It took an entire day of airing out the house to finally not taste it.

Bitter Yuck
By Punkin on Jan 23, 2021
Chewy is the only pet supply that carries this in a large spray bottle at a reasonable price. Bought 2, still use around certain areas with to Weims the female 2 yrs & the male 16 mos, they search for anything in our garage when we are gone. It just doesn't taste good, wash hands real well. LOL

Works for approx 5 seconds (and works on humans...)
By MrsHotToddy on Jan 2, 2021
This only worked for our puppy for about 5 seconds. She was back to trying to chew on our furniture and Christmas tree shortly after. And my daughter and I happened to get a taste of it while we were spraying things down and couldn't taste food (actually had a gross taste in our mouths) for about 1/2 hour! We thought we had Covid for a minute! (Scary!) Won't be buying/wasting money on this again.
