Gracie The Girl 007, our beautiful 12 year old long-haired Ragdoll, has late stage CKD — Chronic Kidney Disease. It was discovered after a hypothyroidism procedure a year ago. As a result, she’s become uber finicky. She turns-away almost all food, even things she used to love; and she drinks A LOT of water (must be fresh). One of the very few things she WILL EAT is NaturVet Hairball Aid with Pumpkin. Every 10am, like clockwork, she meows for her “treats.” She gets 2 pieces, halved to look like more, and always scarfs them down. Since starting these supplements a year ago she’s had ZERO hairballs and it has kept her “regular” — given her CKD and Long Hair, those are AMAZING results.
My cat has been taking these for a month now. I bought these because he was regurgitating/hacking up his food daily. I was concerned he wouldn’t eat them because we all know how picky cats can be. Also his normal “treat” is soft tender bites. The texture of these are more semi hard. He really likes them. The stomach problem has gone away- no more messes on the floor/carpet to clean up.
She gags when she smells it. She refuses to eat it. And she’s the type of cat to steal food off of our plates so she’s never really picky.
"Whatcha trying to do? Poison me??" One sniff and rejected as a treat.
My cats won't even really attempt to eat it even if I drown it in their wet food or a food topper.
He was having hairball throw ups alot. Then we got him these. No more! He gets a snack mid day with his regular food. Lovin it!
These treats have a little psyllium (laxative) and lubricants to help pass hair through the digestive track. My cat has big problems with hairballs and between this and the gooey product, she has much fewer problems.
My cat is a picky eater. She won’t just eat any treats. I bought these despite the mixed reviews of some cats not wanting to eat these treats because she was having issues with her hairballs as she is a long haired cat. My cat loved these treats. She is a bigger cat so the larger size of the treats does not bother her, but if you had a smaller cat you might need to break them into smaller pieces. These treats are also very easy to crush into a powder and add to wet food. And last but not least, they worked for my cat! She is definitely having way less issues with hairballs since I started her on these. Highly recommend.
We have two Siberians, one of whom loves to preen constantly. Long hair means hairballs are a definite issue… We tried this on a whim and it is simply unbelievable how quickly these work and how effective they are. With a shake of the container, the cats’ ears perk up and they eagerly gobble these down. Yes they are a bit expensive but for the improvement in their quality of life, every penny is worth it. These are now a staple in our home.
Honestly, there are cute little treats, but our cats are not interested in them. But our dogs go wild over them so I would probably reorder these for our little pups!
