Rock hard cat can't eat
These are supposed to be soft chews and they are so hard you can hit them with a hammer to break them up I to small peices that the cat will eat around. I'm considering asking for a refund and already bought something else.

We really wanted to try, but the product we received was dried out and probably stale

For cats--Not
These are for cats, but my 3 turned their noses up after trying to chew them. They aren't as small as a cat treat, and much harder. The vet suggested these for one of our cats who appears to have had some allergies. I have a morter and pedestal and crunch one into a fine powder and mix it with water, only way he will eat them. The other cats also will go and lap at it but none can chew them!!

Not soft at all
I must agree with the majority of the reviews..that I wish I had read before purchasing. These are by no means a soft chew. Very firm, almost crunchy. I must now try to crumble it up in the food and hope to get my money out of them.

Disappointed
I wish they hadn't changed the recipe. My cats loved the first batch I got over a year ago. One cat ate it and I hope that will continue. He seemed to have trouble with it. The other cat who needs it, refused to eat it. There are a few skinny ones, but most are a big chunky blackish treat. I was really hoping to find an affordable and delicious L-Lysine treat, so that I wouldn't have to force it down. The container isn't adequate to keep the item fresh. That might be part of the reason why they're hard. They don't look like the picture, either.

Definitely Not SOFT Chews
Why are these called soft chews? They are so hard that I had to crush them to avoid my cats breaking their teeth. The only reason I gave this product one star is that my cats liked the flavor. I have ordered L-Lysine from other brands that have been soft enough to break in half easily. I won't be ordering this brand again.
