Born Out of a Mission of Love

NaturVet was founded in 1994 after the owners' adopted white lab, Winston, was diagnosed with arthritis and hip dysplasia. Multiple vets told them he couldn't be helped; refusing to accept this grim prognosis, they began researching alternative treatments with Dr. Pedro Rivera, a renowned holistic veterinarian. After a few months, they developed a natural joint formula that went on to give Winston a second chance and more than 10 years of active life with his family and siblings.

    Helped with anal gland issues

    By on

My pup has chronic issues with his anal glands. This product helped to regulate the consistency of his bowel movements and he no longer has bouts of constipation and diarrhea. It mixes well into his wet food and he does not seem to notice that it's present in his food.

    It definitely works...

    By on

But my dogs don’t like it. The first day they ate it but since then, their food has been sitting all day. I would have preferred in pill form.

    Really helps

    By on

Teddy was going into the vet monthly to have his anal glands expressed monthly before using this. He went 2 1/2 months before going in and the vet checked him when he was in for nail trimming, very little came out. I use the powder because getting a pill down him is really hard work and he can detect it inside cheese, meat or peanut butter.

    Stopped My Dog's Issues

    By on

My dog was scooting all the time, and the smell was pretty much constant. I had his anal glands expressed twice, but I didn't want that to be a regular thing for him, so I started looking into other options. I tried the No Scoot soft chews first, because they seemed easier to deal with. Although they helped a bit, when Chewy was out of stock of the soft chews, I tried the powder instead, and I saw a major improvement. The scooting has stopped completely, his stool is firm, and I'm happy with the results. Plus, my dog eats it up when I sprinkle it over his food. A definite win!

    works i guess

    By on

I feed PropLan which has a probiotic in it already, but this is a little added advantage. I used to have a dog (rip) that had gland issues on a regular basis, so that is why I used it. And the powder was better than the pieces as they didnt eat the pieces.

    Works for my dog

    By on

I give my ~40 lb dog half of the suggested dose for his size and it still works great. I haven't had to get his anal glands expressed since starting this stuff. He really enjoys the taste too, especially if i make a "gravy" with it by mixing in warm water and pouring over his kibble.

    Didn't work

    By on

Tried this for my boy who scoots and has loose stool. It didn't help at all. He still continued to scoot just as much as when he wasn't on it. I don't recommend.

    Its hit or miss

    By on

I've purchased 3 or 4 bottles already. My dogs over 90 lbs so I have to give her a lot, and go through the bottles relatively quickly. She has been randomly expressing her anal glands, mostly when she's sleeping, for months. I do think it's improved since starting her on No Scoot, but I still get some nasty smelly spots on her blankets after she lays down. I also didnt think she'd like pumpkin flavor... but she loves it! Its worth a try
