    Hard as Rocks

By Jake on Dec 20, 2018

These capsules were hard as rocks. Dogs are supposed to be able to swallow and dissolve them but there was no way I would give them whole to my dogs so they could sit like rocks in their stomachs. I had to struggle with scissors to clip the tops and let the liquid out over their food. I think the bottle must have been sitting on the shelf for some time. This is unusual for Chewy where I usually get very good product and service

    We've Noticed A Difference

By WienerDad on May 20, 2017

Our dachshund had experienced hair loss due to a skin condition. After our vet prescribed medication to correct it, we notice Lilly had some rough patches and some hair loss. The Omega Skin and Coat Gel Caps gave our Lilly a nice shinny coat and revived hair growth in the splotchy areas. Give it a few months to work and you'll be pleasantly surprised with the results.

Difficult to swallow shape / thick gel capsule

By Gemsmom on Jan 30, 2017

The gel caps are a long oval shape that is difficult for my dog to swallow (previous gel caps were more round and she had no problem swallowing). Attempting to cut them open to put directly on the food also proved challenging, the gel capsule is THICK and difficult to penetrate even with a very sharp knife. Will not purchase again

Gel caps - good for dog's

By MyDogReno on Feb 24, 2016

Gel caps contain a lot of the ingredients for our dog's coat. These are similarly priced with other gel caps that contain Linoleic Acid (Omega 6). But there's a difference in ingredients. These caps contain a higher amount of ingredients than other gel caps with Omega 6 but these do not contain Omega 6. Big deal? NO! We feed the pills to our dog with some tasty peanut butter so he doesn't spit the gel caps out. A finger tip of Peanut butter contains more Omega 6 than the 20 mg's contained in other, higher priced gel caps. For that matter, so does a drop of other oils. So, if you are concerned with the chemical content of these gel caps, don't be. If your dog food doesn't contain Omega 6, Gel caps contain a lot of the ingredients for our dog's coat. The other stuff in the gel caps is great for his coat and reduces scratching. Letting him run around reduces tension which also reduces scratching, at least in our dog - so we have a dog with a nice coat that takes his gel caps with peanut butter, runs around and is a happy dog. … more
