Cats claws stayed off the furniture but it has an odor!

While the cats have given the furniture a wide space it took a couple of weeks for the smell to dissipate. I have used somethings like it before but didn't remember an order. It did what it was supposed to do--keep the cats from putting their claws on the furniture.

My 6 mo old kittens are still learning manners (laughing) I bought this for the Christmas tree and as long as I spray it 3-4 times a day they stay away from it ..... it seems when it dries the scents fade .....Probably wouldn’t buy it again.
