About how long does a dose of this last?
Answer by ChewyJan 18, 2018
Since pets vary in weight, age and activity level, the dosage would last each pet differently. Once they've taken this formula, we encourage monitoring your pet and to see how long it lasts them.

Nutritional information says 120mg Melatonin. Am I reading something wrong? That seems like a huge dose.

Works great

Our rescue is very afraid of thunder and fireworks. We have tried many things but this works really well. I especially love how you can break the pill in half and space out the dosing.

Better than most!

What I like about this product is that you only need 3 tablets for larger dogs, not the "usual" six or so...and mine has easily taken it as a treat. It also has a larger percentage of the calming ingredients I look for.

kinda worked-

So after reading the reviews I decided to purchase for a road trip we were taking with our GSD. We'd be in the car for 6 hours and I wanted him to be calm and relax.- I did try it out before the actual trip, to see how it worked and to make sure it didn't upset his stomach. The good news is it didn't upset his stomach. The bad news is it takes a very long time before it actually works- for my dog anyway. The directions say to give at least 30 minutes before. Did this, and it took at least an hour before it somewhat calmed him. My GSD did take them with no problem- I wrapped them in cheese and he took w/o hesitation. I just wish it worked a little faster. First time I gave 3 pills, next time we did 4. We'll keep and possibly try again, should we take another trip.

Not effective

My dog has pretty high separation anxiety and I tried this along with Benedryl when out of town for work. It was not effective, she still ate her kennel.

Top 1000 Contibutor

Did nothing and dog was not interested in eating it!

so I purchased a few calming products for our new rescue pup. he is terrified of the car. (we tested each product on independent car rides- as to find which one was the most effective) Although I never expect a product to be more effective than training.. i was sad this didn't help us any. I was expecting it to help him sleep but it didn't seem to make any changes. I saw in other reviews that their dog didn't want to eat it.. and yep, same for us! i rolled it in some cheese and it did the trick.. but for a "treat" i think you shouldn't have to disguise it.

Couldn’t tell any difference

We live in the country & have neighbors who shoot their handguns outside every weekend. Our elderly Lab mix goes crazy & we have to give him RX pill from the vet. Have been hoping to find something more natural to help him relax. He loves the tablets but I don’t see any difference in his anxiety level.

A better car ride

I bought this product to help my 3 y/o Cavapoo endure weekly 90 minute car ride commutes. Prior to this product, by the time we would arrive we were both exhausted from all the whining and crying. This tab (only a half) helped him calm down and eventually even lay down and sleep like his brother from another mother. Saved us all!

waste of money

I bought these to calm down my Great Dane during crate training & for my boxer when clipping toe nails. I tried the recommended dosage & also tried with 1/2 tab extra.... waited multiple durations with ZERO effect
