I have a Pomeranian, a Labrador Retriever and a Bulldog, this stuff works very well for them! When I had my Lab neutered, he continued to tear his stitches from jumping and diving. He is a VERY hyper dog and these calmed him down and he laid on the couch most of the time after I gave it to him. My Pomeranian and Bulldog are TERRIFIED of thunderstorms and I give these to them before the thunderstorms start. It takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour to kick in, but once it does mine are relaxed and sleeping. I highly recommend!
This product has helped our dog a lot. Ever since we adopted him over 5 years ago whenever we went out of the house, even just for a very short time he would vomit. He has severe separation anxiety, and it was so sad. We tried a few different things including an anxiety vest, but nothing seemed to help. So, we decided to try this product and if we time it just right, he will not vomit. We live close to a military base that does practice a lot and on those days that we are not home this product doesn't work for him as well. I'm very happy that we have something that stops him from getting sick and yet doesn't make him so drowsy that he can't function. It's made his and our life less stressful worrying about him and having to constantly do laundry cleaning his messes.
The calming treats we usually use were out of stock so we tried this brand. They were similar in ingredients but off enough to make a huge difference. The dogs seem to want to play more then rest. We will just use these as regular treats if we continue to use them at all.
Received my package today and the container seal was opened and it was spilled all over the box. Everything else was fine but I am a little uneasy about giving these to my dogs due to it already being opened upon delivery.
My 14-yr-old Poodle had been having anxiety during the night...trotting around the house, whining, barking. So I gave this product a try. It worked from the very first night. When we put her on the bed with us, she stayed awake and whined a few times but then fell asleep and slept through the night...and we did, too. Since then, I give her one chew before bedtime and no more nighttime anxiety.
Been using these for about 3yrs during thunderstorms and neighborhood holiday fireworks and do the trick; in our experience, it seems best to anticipate the situation to give the treat a chance to start working. Of late though, our corgi is more anxious do to her age and losing the use of her hind legs. We now give her 3/day as that situation arises; don't think you'll go wrong purchasing these.
I have two small dogs. Nina's a min-Pin and Marley is her son, a mixed-breed (pug and long-haired chihuahua). The first time I gave them these treats, I thought I saw them working. However, future doses didn't appear to help. Then the capper happened. Marley's taught himself how to open plastic caps on bottles and jars. He's also an expert climber. Thus he found the jar of treats where we thought they were safe while we were out one day. When we came home, there were a lot fewer treats than when we'd left. We moved the jar only for it to happen again a couple of weeks later. I can't say how many each dog consumed each time. I only know they acted like nothing had happened other than a sneaky snack and a mostly full jar is now down to one-third of its usual volume. I give it two stars because it was tasty enough for them to pull that trick twice. I'm glad it works for other dogs. I happen to have two who treat it like candy. (And we can still close the lid on the jar. Marley is scary like that sometimes.)
This calming aide works... works with all my dogs, works with my neighbor's dogs. Thunderstorms, old age anxiety, sleep aid... if I forget to give it to them, I can see the difference. No drugs, just natural aid....How did I ever lived without it. Have been using for 4 years.... I have tried others... this is the one that works best and dogs think it is treats.
My dogs will not eat these. I even tried wrapping them with cheese and slathering them with peanut butter.
My little man used to get so upset when it thunders. “Used to” are the key words here. He would shake uncontrollably, it would break my heart because nothing would comfort him. Then I tried Quiet Moments. Yes, it really works. He is now calm when it thunders. I give him one chewable just before a storm rolls in. He no longer shakes when it thunders. I highly recommend.
