I have never had a soft carrier. I'm concerned about the zipper staying closed securely. Please advise, Thank You!
Answer by ChewySep 13, 2019
Soft-sided carriers are generally only recommended for cats who are calm travelers. It is possible for determined cats to tear out the nylon mesh ventilation panels if they become extremely agitated or claw to get through the zipper material, leading to a torn nail or even an escape.

Can you put your cat in from the top vs. having them walk in? My cat will not walk in a carrier. I have to put him in the top and zip it.
Answer by ChewyApr 18, 2019
This carrier does not have an opening at the top.

Do the sides collapse when carrying your cat or do the walls stay up?
Answer by ChewyApr 18, 2020
The sides of the carrier maintain sturdy while pet is inside carrier.

Is this carrier big enough for a 20 lb long cat
Answer by ChewyApr 16, 2021
This carrier is recommended for cats weighing up to 17 pounds.

Good for Short Trips ONLY ...

I love the design and the price point of this carrier, however I feel that it should ONLY be used for maybe a quick trip to the vet unless your cat is totally carrier friendly. It is a bit on the flimsy side. I tried to use it to carry my cat for a 5 hour trip to our new home. Not a good idea. He got very panicky and as other purchasers have mentioned it's too flimsy to REALLY hold a cat IN that wants to get OUT! I had to stop and transfer my cat to a metal dog crate so he would be able to see more and have a bit more space. Also, they say that it easily folds back up into the little bag for storage. I've tried to fold it up, not kidding, about 30 times and still can't get it right. I finally got it close enough, but it was NOT easy.

One of my 2 cats absolutely loves it all the time; the other for transport only

I ordered two. One for each cat to go to the vet. So lightweight and easy to hold in the hand. Much easier to lure a reluctant cat into it who otherwise resists going in a standard design carrier. There is plenty of room to walk in and claim the catnip or treat. I have a cushy flat bed with a rolled edge that fits perfectly in each carrier. My other cat loves it as you would love a tent. She loves to go inside every day and sleep in it for hours; because she enjoys every factor - being sequestered, but having an open door at the same time, the darkness, quietude. I also love the flap that can remain open by aligning the velcro with the outside, making it look just like a real tent. When I go looking for her, I say "are you in your tent?" She looks adorable snoozing in it. The other cat will only go in it when going to the vet. Two different cats. Littermates. Opposites in many ways, just like sisters. Each with a distinct personality.

Necoichi Cat Carrier

We added a 2nd shelter cat to our family so this is the 2nd Neocoichi carrier we purchased. We live in So. Calif. and wildfires are always a possibility so best to be prepared! The carriers are lightweight which is important as we're seniors, and they store compactly which is perfect for our smaller home. Plus our cats enjoy visiting them if we set them up temporary for playtime adventures in our livingroom. Great product!

really cute

I was afraid my cats would be heavy and make it collapse but we just had our first trip to the vet with it and it held up. I wish it was a little less wide in the bottom, it hits against me as I walk, but it is easier to get the cat in and out of and was a very good price.

Necoichi cat carrier

I would never suggest to anyone to buy this product. Our two cats are quiet and well behaved. They always get in the large carrier we had for them but it is too heavy for us to carry now. I bought two of these carriers so that we could carry each cat separately. The cats are terrified of them! I have left them opened up and in the living room so that the cats would get used to them. Nothing. I have put cat nip in them ... no way are our cats going into those carriers. They are flimsy and dark. Do not buy.

Spatious and light carrier

My cat was so anxious in her previous carrier that she peed in it. This carrier is a great replacement. It's roomy, so my cat seems much more comfortable in it. It's also very light and easy to use for transportation.

Only for kittens and seniors

This is a beautiful, stylish carrier, but I recommend it only for transporting kittens or petite kitties, or else seniors who can't fight hard against being placed in it. It's fairly roomy, but the problem is that even fully unzipped, it's hard to hold the cat and hold the bag open at the same time. If you have it fully unzipped to get them in it, them it is easy for them to escape. You definitely need the help of another person. If you have a large kitty, like my 17lb big handsome boy, I would definitely choose something else.

Saved my life

This is my 2nd carrier. I had a big cage carrier but my 1 cat beat up the other one. Now I have 2. 1 for each.

The purrrrfect cat carrier (cheesy I know!)

This is the best cat carrier that I’ve found so far! For the price, how lightweight it is yet it’s very sturdy, and it is wide enough for my cat to comfortably curl up on the bottom. The mesh window is great and handles are super sturdy as well.
