Flimsy and Seems to be Just Plastic

By Mike on Jun 4, 2021

We purchased this after searching a long time for a decent coop. Most of the lower priced wooden coops are horribly made. We saw this and the description of a wood/plastic polymer composite and thought it may be like "Trex" decking. Very sturdy and long lasting... especially considering the "List Price" on this item. We were wrong. It is very flimsy, and really just seems like plastic. The door/ramp is barely held in place. It would be nice if the roof opened as well, since it can be a bit difficult to clean through the small door. We purchased the pen as well and that is also poorly made. Not really impressed. I feel the description was quite misleading. I am not convinced this will last very We purchased this after searching a long time for a decent coop. extremely hard to put together, lacks ventilation for a warm climate

By sues on Apr 14, 2021

The smooth surface will make it easy to clean. It is very brittle and pieces break when trying to get the four corner posts together with bottom row of sides. It looks nice when done put it took 2 vise grips, pliers, screw driver, and hair dryer plus some gorilla glue. The door is not secure and the openings in the bottom are nice for clean out, also rats and snakes, I got hardware cloth to cover the holes in the floor and cut three windows at top with hardware cloth on inside and the piece I removed hinged on so I can close in bad weather. It is not sturdy enough to be used alone where there are coyotes, foxes, racoons etc. I live in town and have a 5' fence plus dog to keep any big critters The smooth surface will make it easy to clean. Since it was on sale and I was expecting to have to modify it, it is still better than trying to build one from scratch without tool or building skills. I like that it is easy to open roof to put in food and water and for clean out. Also added hooks under roof piece to hang food and water. It is not big enough for six chickens unless they only go in when it rains. It would be fine inside a larger barn or shed. … more

    Nice little coop!

    By fun2bdone on Apr 12, 2021

Was thinking some of the poor reviews were accurate until I had to tear this about half way down again to do it right. The parts are made very precise, so if you got gaps or things not matching, better start over. Should be fine for my 3 pullets, even after they get their full growth. Pretty much all the parts fit snuggly. The only thing I dislike, as mentioned by someone before, is the triangular openings in the floor corners. Still well worth the money to me.

    Good product, but....

By JamesSWilliams on Apr 22, 2021

I do like the product, but there was a part missing. I contacted the manufacturer through email, gave them the requested information but I still do not have a resolution. I will update my review when I get my part. As far as the product itself it is a good product, we will see how the customer service is.

Best quality as far as fabricated coops go!

By Maddie on Apr 21, 2021

Very easy to put together if you’re working on a flat surface, organize all your pieces before starting, and don’t force anything to fit. Coop is the size I expected, but definitely not big enough for 6 full grown chickens. I’m using this as a transition coop for my young chickens outside.

    Glad I bought it

By Tina on Mar 31, 2021

It came quick . No missing pieces . I put it together with no problems. It Will go inside an enclosed fence/cage with roof for 2 chickens ( my sons pets ) I didn’t want a wooden one that would rot . This has a 10 year warranty. If the chickens don’t work out , ,this will make a great dog house

    Hot garbage

By Brent on Mar 22, 2021

As far as the quality of the material goes and ease of putting it together, it was really easy and decent quality from what I could tell. The problem is the roof doesn't line up properly or even cover the entire coop and mine is missing 2 of the parts for the wall. I want my money back. Absolute ripoff.

    Nice looking only

By Friskies on Jan 25, 2021

Nice looking only. Not strong and durable against coyotes or Raccoons. This coop may be better for some ones back yard in the city not here on this farm
