Ricoh’s Beach House
By Moira on Feb 13, 2021
This little house is a 10. It was easy to assemble for me, the materials and design are good, the written instructions were basic but sufficient and there are further instructions online. I have an indoor only cat and 2 dogs, we have a huge garden and some cats Indoor/outdoor neighboring cats that enjoy roaming. Until a black long hair cat, decided to move here (cat is 14 yo and lives with female sibling in house 1/2 away. We are in California, a few blocks from the ocean, not much rain, but lots of fog and strong winds. I had been worried for our “outdoor cat- buddy” who had decided to spend his nights on our outdoor table by our koi pond. Well, this Kitty buddy took to the house immediately This little house is a 10. I only used the side flap, I don’t think Kitty will use it otherwise. Another cat peed on it one of the first nights, after I cleaned it the following day with miracle spray orange (it’s a miracle!), washed his mats and blankets and switched the position of the house, he went right back in it and he’s been using it nightly... he gets up to drink some water to go pee and goes right back in his “beach house” as we call it. We have Nest cameras around our property so I get to watch his nightly adventures :) Btw I decided to give some extra height, there are raccoons and some other random cat. He used to sit on the roof, now he prefers his stoop to rest during the day. … more

needed a modification + insulation to make it work
By perk on Feb 18, 2021
I like the box. Putting it together was easy. But, today I modified it to make it more accessible for cleaning and checking on kittens. I cut foam insulation for the floor and the side that was facing the wind. I then used reflectix (a reflective insulation used for basement rafter insulation) and used postal tape to completely line the box. I cut strips in the doorways so the doors were insulated to but accessible with a view. I then used steel rods through to re-attach the top. That allows me to lift the front to put in the straw or to clean it out without the hassle of trying to re-install the top each cleaning (the top was a hassle because the screws were hard to put back in). Now it works I like the box. Putting it together was easy. But, today I modified it to make it more accessible for cleaning and checking on kittens. A 4# box of straw would go a long way too. … more

Kitty house
By Nice on Feb 21, 2021
Package arrived earlier than I expected Did not take long to put it together and it is good size My cats are not interested in it right now maybe cause it's not cold enough to use it yet time will tell I put the door flaps on and I'm not sure that's another reason they don't go in I think it needs a small roof over the doors so weather does not get in Otherwise I am pleased with it I think it is overpriced though

Great Product
By Brooklyn on Feb 2, 2021
Very easy to put together. I did spend about 2 hours insulating the floor, roof and walls. It would be great if it came with pre fitted insulation kit. Also, the screws for the flaps......I put them in a little crooked and when I tried to take them out....they split and were not re-usable. I suggest a denser plastic screw for the flaps. I purchased the self heating mat and covered it in a light layer of straw for any moisture. This cat house is outside for a homeless cat I feed. The location is in NYC. Where it can be very cold, rainy and snowy. I put the house on a wooden pallet to keep it more protected from wet weather.

Cat House Trial
By Sami on Feb 5, 2021
I purchased this charming cat shelter as a trial for my 4 cats. It was easy to put together, once I turned it upside down to finish aliening the screw holes. Though my 4 adult cats sniffed at it, none entered. Today, however, the biggest cat is in it curled up snugly dozing away. I may purchase another for my medium cat. I think the house is too small for the other two. They like to sleep together. I do wish that it had a easy to remove or fold up roof for cleaning and adding bedding.

I love it, the cats love it too
By Stacy on Feb 4, 2021
I have purchased many many different outdoor cat houses, shelters, huts. I have many feral cats in my yard. I also like to use heating pads in the winter. I really love this house. If you are going to use heating pads that aren't soft and roll up to fit through the side door, remember to put it in before you put the roof on. It was easy to put together. The cats took to it immediately. I have only had it a couple weeks. Hopefully it stands the hard winters of Wisconsin!

Good choice for outdoor shelter
By BenK on Feb 14, 2021
Install instructions were easy to follow. Working great for a feral cat. Put the K&H self warming bed in a location the cat slept for a few nights. Then moved the bed into the shelter. I did not install the doors. After two weeks of use installed the side door. It's great that it's off the ground. Will eventually install the front door.

Love the House
By DeeDee on Feb 3, 2021
I decided to use "common sense" to put house together. The directions were lacking. House is quite nice, only wish it had a mat to go on the plastic floor. I had to buy one which ended up being a very soft, comfy bathroom rug. My "outdoor" cats are spoiled and like to sleep in comfort. The house complements the color of my house. All things aside, I really like the house. They haven't said, but I think they do, too, LOL.

feral cat shelter
By bonalex on Jan 3, 2021
Purchased for a feral cat community. Directions to put together could have been done better but I figured it out. I bought thin insulation and used duct tape to install. Pamphlet with the shelter indicate you can paint it. Since the camouflage shelter was too expensive for our cat community to purchase I may attempt trying to paint this one in a camouflage style. Bought the self warming pad which was a little big for the shelter but works Pleased with the shelter! Now let’s hope the feral cats like it

Happy Outside Kitties
By Keza on Jan 22, 2021
Good product, especially at the sale price. This house arrived quicker than expected, was very easy to put together, light weight enough for me to assemble in the house and then move outside. I don't have it in the elements, but inside a portable greenhouse where the kitties have cardboard boxes with straw. I put straw and some catnip in it to entice them. Now they are all catnip-koku. This will be one more level of warmth and security for them. I would highly recommend this for anyone with outside/feral/barn cats.
