    A Hit with Maura

    We adopted a lovely Pitbull we named Maura in June. Although she was found as a stray on Chicago streets, she is a fussy eater. Go figure... I have tried all kinds of treats for her these past 7 months. She has taken a shining to these jerky treats which makes me very happy. I have tried all kinds of treats for her these past 7 months. She has taken a shining to these jerky treats which makes me very happy. They are cut into about one and a half inch squares. I cut them up so she doesn't just "inhale" them. They even have a stay fresh insert in each pack so they are nice and soft. I love Newman's Own because of their great interest in being charitable. Maura says give these treats a whirl. Well not you, but your favorite pooch.... … more

    Contains sugar

    I took for granted that Newman’s Own was a healthy brand and didn’t check the ingredients. I was disappointed to read after giving them to my dog that the third ingredient is brown sugar. What does a dog need sugar for? An unnecessary health risk. He likes them, but he likes all treats.
