NexGard Soft Chew for Dogs, 60.1-121 lbs. are vet-recommended and FDA-approved to kill adult fleas fast before they have a chance to lay eggs. This product is also FDA-approved to help prevent Lyme infections as a direct result of killing black-legged ticks. Each fast-acting chew provides safe and effective protection, killing fleas and ticks for a full month. And the chews are easy to give because dogs love the delicious beef flavor—you may even give them to your dog with or without food! Each NexGard bite-sized monthly dose is gentle enough to give to puppies and dogs as young as 8 weeks, weighing as little as 4 pounds.
UsesNexGard (afoxolaner) contains afoxolaner which is absorbed into the bloodstream after ingestion. When fleas and ticks ingest blood containing afoxolaner, it causes hyperexcitation and death in these parasites. Dogs and puppies 8 weeks of age and older weighing 4 pounds of body weight or greater. Do not use on cats.
Possible Side EffectsAfoxolaner is a member of the isoxazoline class. This class has been associated with neurologic adverse reactions including tremors, ataxia, and seizures. Seizures have been reported in dogs receiving isoxazoline class drugs, even in dogs without a history of seizures. Use with caution in dogs with a history of seizures or neurologic disorders. The safe use of NexGard (afoxolaner) in breeding, pregnant or lactating dogs has not been evaluated.
Drug & Food InteractionsIn a well-controlled field study, NexGard was used concomitantly with other medications, such as vaccines, anthelmintics, antibiotics (including topicals), steroids, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), anesthetics, and antihistamines. No adverse reactions were observed from the concomitant use of NexGard with other medications. For specific questions about your dog, we recommend that you consult with your veterinarian.

She loves it!
By Charlie on Mar 25, 2021
We tried NexGard when Ella as a puppy, under a year, and she had tummy issues. I waited a year and now when given alone, no other meds, she had no problems. This flea medication is so easy to give because dogs love the flavor.

BUYER BEWARE!
By CurlysMom on Mar 11, 2021
The box clearly states "SOFT BEEF-FLAVORED CHEWABLES" but the chewables that were in my box were not soft at all! They were extremely hard...just like a rock. Leaves me wondering if they were not stored properly from wherever Chewy.com gets them from or where Chewy.com stores them. Will order elsewhere next time.

great medication and service
By Cassie on Feb 6, 2021
I’ve been using this for both of my labs for 4 years with no issues. I love about 2 hours away for our vet, which is also in a different state. With the pandemic I did not want to leave the state unless absolutely necessary so I tried Chewy pharmacy for the first time. I placed my order on a Friday and received confirmation from the vet the following week and my order received 2 days later.

My dog loves it
By Rizz on Mar 29, 2021
Convenient to use. My dog won't eat the tablet form and I don't like the collars or the topical medications. I recommend this product for picky dogs. A little more expensive but worth it.

The price is great
By Michelle on Feb 8, 2021
I did my price comparison, made use of my coupon apps, and decided to order NexGard from Chewy. I also signed up for autodelivery, since this is an essential my golden retriever will always need. Chewy ships items quickly, they call your vet to confirm the prescription, and their price is better than most reputable online retailers.

7 month old golden

ChloE has been on nexgard since she came to her forever home. Haven’t had any issues with fleas or ticks. I will continue to use this product for the life of my goldens.

Great product
By Dogmom3 on Jan 20, 2021
Tried everything to get rid of fleas on my dogs but nothing worked. We have a big property with woods, so treating the yard was not a option. I gave it this to my dogs and within 3 hours it was already killing the fleas. Checked the next day and I didn't find any. A week later and there are still no fleas and no side effects. Great product and will continue to use it. I did have to cut it in half cause it was hard for them to chew.

Reduced quantity
By Fran on Feb 5, 2021
I know this is not Chewy's fault; however - ironically, this morning I opened a new box to dispense the monthly Nexguard to one of my dogs and see that the new packages only contain 3 chews. Just be aware - the lower pricing reflects this - I didn't notice when ordering and it came as quite a surprise.

Chewy is the best
By Jasper on Jan 8, 2021
I have ordered several times from Chewy.com, from dog food to medications, and so far, I have had no issues with either the product or delivery! During this pandemic, it has been a lifesaver to be able to order my dogs food and prescriptions without leaving the house. We also travel throughout the winter and getting these products delivered to our motor home is great!

So much easier than topical applications!
By Nicole on Jan 9, 2021
I love how easy it is to give my puppy a treat each month to make sure she is protected from fleas. I have never had a dog that would sit still and allow me to put topical applicators on them; they always tried to shake it off, and I felt like they didn’t get the full dose. I know my pup is getting the whole treat!
