Description

Green Tea Leaves Cat Litter is an all natural wood based cat litter with green tea leaves are added during the manufacturing process. Green tea naturally contains an astringent called catechin, with antioxidant properties that works as an effective deodorant and anti-bacterial agent. In the cat litter box the green tea works with the wood to suppress the growth of bacteria, which is the primary source of cat box odors. Green tea leaves promote a healthier and more comfortable environment for you and your feline friend.

Key Benefits
  • All natural wood based cat litter made with green tea leaves to suppress the growth of bacteria, which is the primary source of litter box odors.
  • Catechin is an astringent found in green tea leaves and has antioxidant properties that work as an effective deodorant and anti-bacterial agent.
  • One bag of economically friendly litter lasts 4-6 weeks and yields 333 clumps.
  • Made without chemicals or artificial fragrances, and does not contain silica dust, which may cause respiratory problems.
  • Clumps are 1/3 smaller, lighter, lower in dust and flushable, while the remaining litter is compostable!
Precautions

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

    Best Litter on the market

    By on

This litter is the Best! Why.. well as a Professional Pet Sitter of 25 years, I’ve seen them all. This one will not bother your or your kitties respiratory. Frankly, we don’t think about how tiny their nose is and how the dust from other litter really affects them. Many clients use the clay litter and ick... it stinks. This has a very gentle natural smell. The clay litter creates dust that kicks up in the air and you can smell for hours afterwards, this does not. It does track, all litter does, get a mat to place in front of the box because I’ll tell ya, that sand like litter is WAY more work to clean out of carpet, wood, linoleum or tile floor regardless of the type of litter. This is so light and I know the UPS guy appreciates it just as much as I do. … more

    Not the greatest

    By on

It doesn't do a great job on odor control. It also doesn't clump very well. When it spills out of the litter box (or the dogs dump it over!) it breaks apart pretty easily. I want to be easy on the environment, but this one won't work for me. I will be trying others.

    Good non-clumping litter

    By on

It sort of clumps urine making scooping it easier than a regular non-clumping. Green tea fragrance isn’t overpowering, when wet is more pronounced but just enough you notice it’s probably wet. Not much help for my fur-babies nuclear poo odor but I’ve found that common across all litters.

Works, but not the best smell absorbtion

    By on

I've been using this product for months, and I buy the big bag at my local pet store, I go through it quite fast and it's expensive compared to other brands. However, that is not the product's fault as I like the idea of natural littler that isn't made with chemicals and such. # The good; It is low dust, lowest I've ever used. # the Bad; it Doesn't clump the best pellets are too big, it would be better if smaller. The green tea I cannot smell at all, and doesn't control odor good. # conclusion; Maybe the green tea smells strong to you, maybe it will control odor for you, but for me it's just an acceptable natural cat litter and does the job of clumping around pee and poop.

    Shockingly Impressive!

    By on

I was hesitant spending $15 on a very small bag of cat litter, but after reading all the reviews I thought I would give it a chance. I have a new kitten with very long hair, and I’m attempting to keep things as natural as possible. I have to say, this litter is just wonderful! I have now had the same batch of litter in my box for 3 full weeks and I STILL do not smell anything! Nothing. I clean it daily. I go in and gently scoop and try not to waste any pellets. I have only had to add 3 cups or so over the 3 week period, to lightly freshen and or replace what I have scooped out. I’m so excited to have discovered this, as I didn’t want to get a kitty and suffer from the gross smell of dusty litter I was hesitant spending $15 on a very small bag of cat litter, but after reading all the reviews I thought I would give it a chance. It’s still better to step on than clay litter, and the rugs mostly catch what little flies out. I own a pretty large pet business and I have seen it all. This, in my opinion is the Gold Medal winner! THANK YOU! … more

Don't Leave Marilyn Home Without It

    By on

I originally found this product at my former neighborhood pet supplies store. I picked up the bag and it was light vs. heavy clay products. My cat, Marilyn, didn't seem to notice the difference but, I did. Not only was it light, it also had a pleasant smell. Shortly thereafter my chiropractor asked me if I drank green tea. I said "No". Weird but, OK. He is reminded of green tea whenever I am there at the office. I realized shortly thereafter my early morning appointments were post daily litterbox maintenance. Recently, I moved/drove across country with Marilyn. The Green Tea was also a familiar smell for Marilyn. When I arrived in my new town, the pet supply store didn't carry Green Tea litter. I settled for pine pellets, adequate but, again, heavy. I checked out Chewy and to my relief, and delight, there is was! PLUS, the Chewy's price was 33% lower. I would recommend this product anyway, however, living in a small space - this is the ideal product. … more

    Cats would not use

    By on

The smell of it is not bad. A little dustier than I hoped. My cats would not even try it though. Maybe they did not like the smell of it?

    Tracking Nightmare

    By on

The litter controls odor as described but because of the size of the pellets it’s a tracking nightmare. My cats manage to track it all over the house. I was shocked at how much it tracks.

    Not Worth It

    By on

Doesn't clump. You end up throwing out way more than you should because the unused portion is not separated from the used ones.

    The BEST cat litter ever!

    By on

I have two very choosy Siamese cats when it comes to cat litters. They took to this one right away, and I have found it the best for odor control of all the natural cat litters I have tried. I was strongly discouraged from using a clumping clay litter, and I avoided clumping natural litters until I just couldn't stand the urine smell anymore. All the natural litters I tried worked for about a week, as far as odor control, but then they all began to stink pretty bad. One bag of this litter lasts ~5-6 weeks, and that is for 2 cats using one litter box. I scoop it out twice daily, and I have a litter box enclosure (necessary, because this stuff tracks pretty bad, and I also have a little pug I have two very choosy Siamese cats when it comes to cat litters.
