What type of natural wood? Mitts is allergic to Ash, Box Elder, Maple, Walnut, and Birch. Thx
Answer by ChewyNov 10, 2017
This litter is made without chemicals or artificial fragrances. It does not contain silica dust (which may cause respiratory problems).

Does "One bag lasts 4-6 weeks refer to the 5-lb bag or the 11.5-lb bag?
Answer by ChewyJun 26, 2019
One 5-6 pound bag of this litter will yield approximately 333 clumps. One 5-6 pound bag of Next Gen cat litter will last one cat for 4 to 6 weeks with routine litter box maintenance.

Does this litter attract any type of mites or other bugs? Similar to corn litters?
Answer by ChewyJan 02, 2018
This litter will not attract bugs.

Is it flushable!?
Answer by ChewyDec 07, 2021
All of Next Gen cat litter products are clumping and flushable litters. They can be safely flushed and will not clog your pipes. Additionally because their litters form smaller clumps you dispose of less litter per clump making it more economical. Due to restrictions in certain locales it is not recommended to flush litter with feces. There are harmful environmental impacts to animal feces in the water supply.

Large pellets

These pellets are too large to flow thru my scoop.

best litter!!

This litter is the best. It clumps urine well and hides odors. My cats have been using this brand since I brought them home. We originally used the navy blue and white bag but I’ve noticed the quality of that one has worsened and the litter tends to not clump as well as the green and white bag.

bring it back!

We have been using this liter for almost 4 years and find that it actually lasts a while, which makes the expense more worth it. We moved and couldn’t find it locally anymore, so we have relied on buying it from Chewy ever since. We have tried multiple litters and this has had the best odor control than all of them- even in a 700 sq ft 1 bedroom apartment where the litter box had to be out in the open! Our cats don’t track it easily either. We wish this product would be brought back, as our cats are not happy with the change.

torn bags no padding

2 out of 3 bags were torn open, because of lack of padding material in delivery box, even though extra padding was requested.

Too expensive

This cat litter was bought as a fill-in for my regular cat litter which is sitting in a container off the CA coast. I bought the small bag, since it was a fill-in, and the litter seemed to be pretty much dust free and odorless.(My cat has asthma.) However, if I switched, I'd have to buy the larger (~11 lb) bag which is ~$43 and that's way more than I'm willing to pay for cat litter.

Dusty and unsure odor

I like this as it is better than clay for training kittens/young kitties. I am on the fence if I really like it or not or can recommend it. I DO like that it clumps but to minimize odor it is good to dispose of soiled/used areas and poo right away or it smells awful and does not really eliminate odor at all in my experience. I also notice that is very dusty, has a unique natural scent (not my favorite) and have noticed the bottom of the bag has the majority of dust. Also more dust breaks away when the pellets get mixed around upon scooping. I believe I have allergies from this wood stuff but am nervous to change since my kitten only knows this product so far. It is quite expensive for the amount of dust. It also has a disclaimer about wood dust is a known carcinogen? I do commend them for creating a unique brand and in attempts for safety and natural less bad waste but it is hard to know what is safe and to find the best product. I do not really want my kitter cat to accidentally ingest or inhale any product. I know she inhales some of the this Next Gen litter because when I help clean her kitty face I notice dried caked powder stuck in the crevasses of her nostrils. It makes me worry but then I worry about the clay dust too... is there a win win situation on any litter products? What is the best one for younger cats? My feline friend is a bit unique in her digging since she roots with her nose to find the preferred area to do her business... in that I don't think any dust is good for her to inhale and am thinking to switch to new print.

Wish my cats liked this more

Okay so this stuff is awesome, no odor, they didn't really track it at all, fairly easy to scoop considering it's texture — but my cats only use it to pee in.... no idea why. They're fine digging in it to pee but they will not use it to poo.

great litter too bad chewy charges too much!

I really like this natural, clumping, low dust, low tracking litter. My local pet store sells this litter for $14 less/11.5lb bag compared to Chewy.com. The only negative about this litter is the cost.

natural litter than holds up to the claims

This is great litter! The smell is very light and also completely masking. I have the litter boxes in my office and can’t stand litter box smells and I have no problems working in my office all day. The pellets do break down a bit after a couple days, but not nearly as bad as other natural litters and it doesn’t track. The pellets sometimes go flying but that’s 1000x better than dust/tracking in my opinion and most lost pellets stay on the litter mat and I can just put them back in the litter boxes when I clean them. Every natural litter claims to be the best at no smells and no dust and I’ve tried a lot of them with no success but this one finally worked for me!
