So far I’ve used this puzzle twice for Astra (German Shepard) and once with Rhea (Norwegian Elkhound). Both did great. May use this once a week? Gave them something new and interesting to do for a few minutes. Certainly not going to keep them busy for long. I just need to keep Astra a bit busier because So far I’ve used this puzzle twice for Astra (German Shepard) and once with Rhea (Norwegian Elkhound). Both did great. May use this once a week? I’m getting suspicious she may have come from a puppy mill unfortunately. Not sure. They bite at some of the pieces and pull them out but they are sturdy plastic and I’m right there when they are finding the treats. A big chewer could carry the pieces off and chew on them so they need to be watched. Easily rinses off with hot soapy water and air dry. I bought it also because the price was pretty decent and hopefully will last a very long time if I take care of it and could be used years from now for maybe another future dog I will have as well. Looking at it also as long term.Hope so anyways. … more

Most Helpful Critical Review
Read All 85 Critical ReviewsNot for chewers-even 9 week old puppies.

It’s a great concept, but the materials aren’t durable enough. My 9 week old golden retriever puppy enjoyed the concept of the puzzle. But the second time I gave it to her she ripped three doors off in under 5 minutes & chewed them up. She even managed to pull a red container off the puzzle. My two dogs love this game! Didn’t take them too long to figure it out but still presents a challenge. Great purchase!

Treat dispenser/puzzle
By MRAH on Jan 17, 2021
Dogs love this. 2 dogs 13-15 # each. One they figured it out it only takes 5 min for one and 10 min for the other. Makes them think and slows down feeding :)

GSD loves this
By GSDmom on Jan 17, 2021
It’s not a brain bender or anything but he loves it. I think it’s kind of like doing a crossword in the middle of the week- you know most of the answers fairly quickly but it’s still nice to dust the cobwebs off the ol’ noodle. The tops of some of the red pieces come off when he’s flipping them open but they easily go back on.

I ordered this for my constantly active pup and am extremely pleased with the product. It has lots of moving parts and keeps him occupied and entertained. Very sturdy and well made

happy senior husky
By reza on Jan 15, 2021
I fully expected this to be something my 9 year old husky was not interested in but he surprised me by LOVING IT IMMEDIATELY. Bought this on a whim and now I’m shopping for more. He loves searching for tiny bits of ham. The plastic is durable enough that gentle chewing is not an issue.

Keeps my dogs out of trouble
By shea on Jan 15, 2021
Keeps my dogs entertained and out of trouble for a few minutes at a time. Wouldn’t leave them unattended with it, though, as the red hinged pieces do come off easily

My puppy loves to find treats by moving puzzle pieces. She looks forward every morning to playing with this puzzle.

Delightful toy
By LynnC on Jan 14, 2021
I bought this toy after the bone puzzle by the same manufacturer was a success. I have a 5 year old Maltipoo, full of energy, and a 14.5 year old BLIND, DEAF, VERTIGO challenged (residual effects) Cocker Spaniel. The first time through, both were slow, but finally successfully in retrieving all the treats. Imagine how happy I was to have the Cocker, with all her impairments, love to do this game. Her life is sleeping on her bed. No stimulation. No interest in toys. This has given her something to do and a reward. The Maltipoo is a bit faster, and as a rescue from a breeder not used to playing or enjoying toys. I love the stimulation this toy plus the bone toy gives them both. My dogs weigh in at 10 and 20 pounds, so pushing it around on a mat, it stays fairly stationary. I highly recommend these toys and Chewey for their fantastic support and service. … more

Smarty pants game
By Cynthia on Jan 14, 2021
My dog love playing this game with me. At first he was a bit frustrated but with a little help from mom he got it. He wags his tail when I bring it out for him now, LOL.
