Description

Who says learning can't be fun? With the Dog Tornado Plastic Interactive Dog Toy, you can stimulate your pup's brain and have a blast at the same time! The unique and interactive toy has four layers of rotating discs. There are compartments where treats can be hidden in three of those layers. Fido has to learn to rotate the different layers in different directions with his nose or paw in order to find the hidden goodies. Increase the degree of difficulty by placing the white plastic blocks in some of the compartments. He'll love the reward of a job well done, and you'll love watching him put on his doggy thinking cap!

Key Benefits
  • 4 layers of rotating discs provide mental stimulation to keep your pet happy and healthy.
  • Difficulty level 2 makes this game challenging for your pup, so he may not get it on the first try.
  • Hide treats or kibble in different sections of the puzzle or under the bone blocks to further increase difficulty.
  • Enhances your relationship with your dog by rewarding him with the treats or kibble he loves.
  • Suitable for dogs of any age or size, so you can have a blast with any pup.

Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.

Instructions

HOW TO PLAY: Place treats or kibble in compartments of the base. Cover some compartments with bones. The more covered compartments, the harder the game will be! Let the games begin! Show your dog how the game works and encourage them to find treats. Dogs are smarter than you think. Sometimes we just need to teach them! Leave some compartments uncovered and show your dog how it spins.

FROZEN PUZZLE: Mix some canned/wet dog food or raw food with water, pour some of the mixtures in the hollows, or place a small piece of sausage or a tasty treat in each of the hollows, pour a little water, put the game in the freezer and let it set. Perfect for energetic dogs, hot weather, or just extended fun.

EASY TO CLEAN: To wash your dog’s Dog Tornado, simply remove all treats/kibble and hand wash with warm soapy water, rinse clean and dry. Fill again for more fun!

  • We have mastered this one

    By on

I bought this for my 2 poodles, Ruby and Rex, and schnauzer, Heidi, all three have mastered this one. It is rated as a level 2 puzzle but all three had this one down in no time. We did have issues when adding the dog bone covers because they prevent the spinning action and can get jammed in and the dogs couldn't get them off after they were jammed. I will try to add them again to see if the dogs still enjoy the puzzle with the covers. The dogs really enjoy treat time so I got this as a way for them to work at and stimulate them in the mornings.

  • Golden Loves It - Durable

    By on

Purchased for a now 61 lb Golden "puppy" 7 months old who is tough on toys. Initially, when filled she works the puzzle and gets all of the treats out. I made the mistake of leaving it with her after she had the treats out and I was out of the house for a few hours. She still enjoyed it. Apparently (I am sure this is not what the toy was intended for) it can be popped apart into pieces and popped back together. Well, she had it all apart by the time I got home. And NO PROBLEM, I just popped the layers back together. Very impressed, and she liked it too.

  • Great activity for our lazy fella

    By on

Teddy doesn't care to do much. He loves his walks, but he won't chase balls or play with stuffed toys. He loves this toy! I put it on the hardest levels for him, and he will work with it until the Zukes treats are gone--although he mostly lies down rather than stands up to play with it. That's our guy.

  • Fun Toy For Terriers

    By on

My terrier/daschund mix loves this toy, but she usually has it solved in less than 5 minutes, so it isn't really great if I'm trying to keep her occupied while I'm out. I have to hide it under a towel in different places in the house to make it a bit of a challenge for her.

  • simple but rewarding

    By on

My Border Collie had this puzzle figured out very quickly... and is not a challenge, but she looks forward to it each morning when I leave for work. To prolong the "fun" I put little spoonfuls of peanut butter in a couple, otherwise she is done within 20 seconds.

  • Easy to Use

    By on

My Great Pyrenees loves this toy. He can easily rotate the parts with his nose and find the treats. Great for bigger dogs who might be on the clumsy side because it doesn't take a lot of dexterity to move the parts.

  • good puzzle only one fault

    By on

my dog has Alot of fun with this puzzle. my only issue is it slides all over the floor making it more difficult for my dog to use-this sometimes results in loss of interest. my suggestion would be to have suction cups on the bottom so those of us with hard floors dont have the issue of dog losing interest and to stop sliding and scratching the floors.

  • FOUR PAWS UP

    By on

Teddy enjoyed this puzzle and it actually took him longer than usual to solve it. He sometimes cheats and when he doesn't get it quickly enough, he just picks it up and shakes it - not hard for him as he's a Lab.

  • Nice puzzle!

I like how the dog has to remove the bones from each level to "spin" and reveal the level below. Dog loved it!

Our mini Aussie figured this toy out quickly, but it is fun to watch her get all her treats with a little work.
