Description

Who says learning can't be fun? With the Dog Twister Plastic Interactive Dog Toy, you can stimulate your pup's brain and have a blast at the same time! This unique toy is a challenging and fun game for you and your active dog. He has to look for treats by moving one block after another in different circles. Increase the degree of difficulty by locking the blocks with bone-shaped pegs, which are placed in the hollows all around the up-side of the game. He has to learn to unplug the blocks by lifting the pegs one by one in order to be able to move the blocks and then find the treats. He'll love the reward of a job well done, and you'll love watching him put on his doggy thinking cap!

Key Benefits
  • Great for dogs looking for a challenge when it comes to treat-dispensing dog games and toys.
  • Combines both challenging mental stimulation and independent play to maximize your dog’s playtime.
  • Treat compartments on this dog game can hold your dog’s dry kibble to make mealtime more exciting!
  • Enhances your relationship with your dog with this fun, interactive game.
  • Easy to clean: simply remove all treats/kibble and handwash with warm soapy water.

Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.

Caution: Do not let the dog chew or bite the toy, only play with it together with your dog, do not leave the dog unattended, the dog must not play with or chew the blocks. Put away when the game is over. Designed for dogs, it is not a toy for a child.

Instructions

HOW TO PLAY: Pull handles out to unlocked position to slide paw panels. Place treats or kibble in compartments. Line up sliding paw panels and lock them in place by pushing handles in. Let the games begin! Place game on floor and encourage your pet to seek treats. Dogs are smarter than you think. Sometimes we just need to teach them! Leave handles in the unlocked position and offset paw panels so your dog can smell and access treats easier.

FROZEN PUZZLE: Mix some canned/wet dog food or raw food with water, pour some of the mixture in the hollows, or place a small piece of sausage or a tasty treat in each of the hollows, pour a little water, put the game in the freezer and let it set. Perfect for energetic dogs, hot weather, or just extended fun.

EASY TO CLEAN: To wash your dog’s Dog Twister, simply remove all treats/kibble and hand wash with warm soapy water, rinse clean and dry. Fill again for more fun!

    Very difficult

    By on

My standard poodle has fun with this. So far I have to keep the white handles pulled out so he has learned to slide the covers to reveal the treats. He would have to pull out all the handles to start getting treats and this is just too complex for him at the moment. My dog has taught my sister's labradoodle how to use this toy.

    Really fun!

I bought this for my 7 year old dachshund mix as a “birthday present”. He hasn’t completely figured it out yet but my 10 year old Boston saw it and figured it out quickly and LOVES it. She will play with this for a long time and seems to be having a lot of fun. Definitely worth the money!!

    Love challenging level

    By on

We bought this thinking that it would be advanced but it’s a low level challenging level. Our puppy who is 4 months old (a Westie) took only 15 minutes without us showing him to figure it out the first time and about 7 mins after that. If you have a super-intelligent dog, this might be a good treat activity but it is NOT something that would keep your buddy busy for a while. ;)

    Easily ripped apart, too difficult

    By on

I tried to ease my dog into this toy, but she just gets frustrated with it so fast and starts pawing at it, the little blue parts come off pretty easily and seems not well made. The dog has to "unlock" the sliding blue parts by pulling the white parts out, so it's very difficult. I thought my dog needed a challenge but this is almost impossible it seems. Absolutely would be a toy that a dog needs supervision with.

    Loads of fun!

My pupper loves this puzzle!!! I leave the compartments unlocked and he alternated between using his paws and snout until he gets all the treats out! He does spinnies when he sees it come out!

Didn’t realize this toy was so advanced, way too difficult for my dog to figure out. He’s a bright dog!

4 month old pup figured it out

    By on

Loved the idea. Read reviews that it was challenging. Theoretically it is. In practice, not so much. We have a 4 month old pup, and she is quite smart. Thought this would be engaging. So, yes she couldn't pull out the white handles, but circumvented it by picking up the toy and dropping it continuously. This loosened the locks in place enough that she could wiggle the cover to the side and reach the food. Also on the underside are 4 black rubber scratch protectors, for the floor. She lifted those right out and started eating them. Thankfully we noticed and removed them.
