Fun times with treat puzzle toy
Our 12 year old Maine Coon is highly food motivated. He constantly demands treats. So to make it fun, we purchased the Petstages Rainy Day Puzzle & Play Cat Toy. He didn't know what to make of it at first. The king of our house prefers to be hand fed his treats. We placed the treats uncovered so he'd get the idea. It was fun for a few days. Now we hide the treats. He has a little difficulty figuring out how the system works. Plus one of the teardrops gets caught under the rim of the slot & we have to unstick it. Also, the wheel is a little stiff but we hope with time that will loosen up. We know he'll eventually figure it out & he'll be a pro in no time.

Clever and stimulating puzzle
Although my year old cat has pretty much figured out how to manipulate this puzzle, except for the large circle at the top, he really enjoys the challenge! He is a smart little guy and is in constant search of brain stimulation.
He loves the Pure Bites freeze-dried shrimp... and because it has a strong but not unpleasant odor, we deliberately chose these so he had a notion besides visual. That has helped particularly with the large compartment.
He also loves the Churu Chicken Bites, which we also used, and they worked... but we found he was more challenged when he could strongly smell the shrimp. Unfortunately the package gets used up quickly. We used only one or two pieces in each compartment in order to use it more slowly, but he doesn't mind that the reward is small. He is truly enjoying the challenge!
as per the photo attached, you can see he's already trying the large wheel.
The only reason I gave it a four star rating instead of five is that it is not weighted on the bottom and therefore moves around the room when he's trying to conquer it. I do not want to Velcro it to the floor or anything like that, but I really would like it if they had taken that into consideration. I will try to figure out some thing for that reason.
We do not regret this purchase and would happily purchase it again!

Keeps them busy!
My one cat is SO mischievous and needs to be entertained all day or else he’s naughty. I find myself refilling this puzzle with kibble numerous times a day and each time I take it out he gets so excited! It sure makes him happy and busy! Thanks Chewy!!
Parts don't move freely
Most of the drop shaped covers get stuck and do not rotate freely to reveal the treat. The large wheel is very tight and difficult to rotate. I removed it and put a drop of dish soap on the spindle, which helped to lubricate it a bit but our cat still cannot spin the cover (she tries).
Extra food storage
After feeding my cat, I place some crunchy food in a few of the compartments. I know she's hungry when she goes after them.
I also put treats in the compartments which she loves to find and gives her
entertainment.

Helps slow my girls down
Love the Otttosson feeders - great quality. this one has a lot of options to split up my girl's food and make them eat more slowly through the day. Easy to refill -- love it.
Fun activity for cats!
We love this and our cats do too! My cats are very food-motivated so they're very good at these puzzles. We have the lady bug one as well. This one I think is slightly more difficult but our cats figured it out quickly, even spinning the wheel. Still it keeps them entertained for 10 minutes and I think its a fun and more interactive way to give treats and food that stimulates their natural foraging instincts. Highly recommend this and the other puzzles by this company!
My smart boy loved it!
If you are like me and have a cat who is a smart cookie and loves searching for treats, definitely buy this! My 1 year old boy immediately took to it and found all the treats. You can use this as a regular dry food feeder or just for treat time.

Great for 2 cats
Both my cats love getting dry food (2-3 tablespoons max, total) out of this dish. We've had to train one to not to hiss at the other as they both use it at the same time, but it's worked. One cat gets the wheel, one doesn't so we don't always make it as hard as it could be. But both line up early waiting for their pre-bedtime snack.

They like it
My two cats both like this puzzle toy. They are still trying to get the hang of spinning the wheel to access treats under it, but are making progress. My male cat is very good at puzzle toys, so I needed something challenging.
