I have a small dog (11 pounds) & she's done growing so he collars are generally way skinner than the collar cover, are there different sizes?

This product is only available in one size. It is made with a secure micro hook and loop fastener that fits collars up to 1 inch.
Are the batteries replaceable? If so, what size does it take?

The batteries are able to be replaced, using one (1) 2032 3V battery.
Will it fit a tiny dog with a 9 inch neck size?

The flexible LED illuminated strip fits comfortably over almost any dog's collar and closes securely with two micro hook-and-loop tabs. The collar cover is 6.89 inches long, 1.3 inches wide and 0.42 inches thick.
is it waterproof?

The NiteDawg Collar cover is not waterproof. This product is weather resistant though. You would want to tsay out of any downpours or submerging the collar cover in the water but it should be fine in light rain or if the dog splashes in a puddle.

do NOT get wet. BAD for the environment

Even though described as “weather resistant” they short out in the rain. I have two. After using in the rain I could not turn them off. They work ok now after drying out for a couple of days. WORSE: I’m concerned about the longevity of the product and that they will soon end up in the landfill. The battery and electronics are covered only by a loose plastic flap which provides little to no protection. It’s sad to see items like this that are too cheaply made to be useful for long, are not recyclable or repairable, and will never decompose in the environment.

Don’t Even Think About It

Worked for a month. It got spotty after that. Two months in and it won’t stay on.

Not rechargeable and started acting up

Our pups are mostly black and it gets pretty dark where we live so we like having light up collars for them. I didn’t want to spend $20 on a collar until my puppy was done growing. I thought this would be a great alternative for the $20 light up collar in the meantime since I could switch it to different collars as he grows. I didn’t notice until it arrived that it’s not rechargeable and it takes a battery most people don’t keep on hand. It also started acting up shortly after we got it. Sometimes it wouldn’t turn on right away. Other times I couldn’t get it to turn off right away. I didn’t plan on using it long term, but I wasn’t expecting it to only last a month.

Great find

These are amazing! At this time of year it's dark so early I needed a light for my 2 little dogs. I was able to put this around the neck part of the harness and it works perfectly.

Wanted To Love This

This started out very bright and was easy to attach to my dog’s collar, however it was destroyed within the month. It slides around the dog’s collar or detaches completely since it connects using two small velcro patches at either end of the cover. Definitely overpriced for the flimsy material used.

Very dainty for a dog light

The Velcro straps are way too short, less than 1/2 inch and will only attach to narrow dog collars. There is an open flap to cover the battery, which allows water and moisture to leak onto the battery, with enough force, the battery could just pop out. The light is very bright with a couple different options, but this is more a toy than a tool to keep dogs safe at night, especially when walking dogs in the rain.

Nite Ize lighted collar

Heavy duty and will obviously last a long time. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because it doesn’t come with a charging cord. Not sure why and that’s not stated on the website either. Other than that, quality product.

Awesome product

So great to simply attach this at night and not have to switch collars! It’s very bright and seems to have a great battery.
