How do you open the Spotlit to change the battery? The button side has inside ridges so as to twist off but don't spiral so does it pop off? I don't want to damage it opening it wrong. I love these and so does my Beagle Mr. Taz! Thank you! Michele :)

To replace the battery, first pry off the plastic cover to reveal the battery module. Once you get the back off, pop off the battery module and remove the old battery with your fingernail or a small tool. Slide in the new battery into the battery module, making sure the positive sign on the new battery is facing the same direction as the positive board. Please refer to the video included below for more detailed instructions.

would this be small enough to fit a 7lb dog?

This light is suitable for breeds of all sizes; it measures 1.73 inches x 0.97 inches x 0.62 inches and weighs approximately 0.18 ounces.

Amazing little life saver

I don't know who loves this more...me or my fur baby. He thinks it's his personal flashlight but I will say....I have a very narrow sidewalk along a stretch of very busy big city major freeway exit area in my city that me and my dog walk along a lot to make trips to the grocery store by my hm. I'm always frightened I may get hit or worse my dog will . Since I began using this...cars definately see it( I walk at nights always). Cars actually pull over to the lane furthest from us not know what the light really is there for! That was shocking to see at first...so I've been buying 2 a month now just to make sure he's safe for the month and have an extra just in case....also if I don't need the extra one...I give it to a friend or someone else I see who could benefit alot from it to for their dog.

Cute While it Lasted

I bought the pink light. It was cute, while it lasted (1 or 2 months, only turned on about 15 minutes for night walks). She did not like it on her collar, so I ended up just hanging it from the retractable leash handle (not my preference, as the whole idea was for HER to be visible). When the light dimmed, I assumed it was the battery, took it apart and could not figure out how to remove the battery in order to replace it. Ended up throwing in trash (felt so bad, hate throwing cheap disposable junk in the trash and trashing up our earth). I will not buy again.

First one lasted more than a year on a dog that swims and wears a SportDog collar, second one on the same dog lasted two days. Bought three this time to get fourth one free, so I guess the one she lost was the free one. Unfortunately it was during the day that I noticed it missing so light was no help locating it.

Collar Night Light

Liked it so much I bought a second one. Secures easily to any ring and removes easily when laundering collar/harness. Lime color is highly visible yet not blinding on the eyes. Exactly what I was looking for

Waste of Money

Took it out the package and the batteries don’t stay in place when it moves. The lights turn off as soon as it shakes. Which might seem inconsequential until you remember that it’s going to be shaking on a dog’s collar for its entire lifetime. Save your money, buy something else.

Best Lights by Far

I've tried different kinds of lights (rechargeable) but these battery operated are the best...also have a stronger clip.
