Instructions

Your SUPERFEEDER has been assembled at our factory with the use of special fixturing. We therefore highly recommend that you DO NOT DISASSEMBLE YOUR SUPERFEEDER. Re-assembly without the aid of this fixturing can be difficult. Cleaning can be easily accomplished by aligning the feeder cover hole over a tube, inserting a garden hose into the opening and rinsing the tube clean.

    Design needs reworking

By Birdergranny on Nov 23, 2021

The basic idea for this bird feeder has merit. However some areas of their design which need reworking. 1) There is a double ended hanging hook, which feeds through the squirrel baffle into a large eyebolt on the top of the bird feeder. The bird feeder is heavy, obviously. If you shift the bird feeder around at all while trying to hang it up, the hook can disengage from the eyebolt. it happened to me. I dropped my fully loaded bird feeder. Fortunately, minimal damage, but I had to reassemble my bird feeder. I suggest a clamp replace the bottom hook. The hanging hook needs to be securely attached to the top of the bird feeder. 2) I believe all bird feeders should be easily disassembled The basic idea for this bird feeder has merit. They say rinse it out with a hose. Maybe they could just build the little plastic stops, which hold the tubes in place at the top and bottom higher - like a low wall. 3) Customers complained that the ground pole wasn't sturdy enough. They are absolutely correct. 4) I also have an issue with the hanging-eyebolt/threaded-rod running through the center of the bird feeder, secured with one tiny little bolt. Same as the ground pole, it doesn't look trustworthy to me. Why not add a metal plate, or at least a metal washer? … more

Great size feeder if you don’t want to fill it often.

By Kathy on Apr 29, 2021

This is a great feeder for those who don’t want to fill it constantly. I hung it where our old one used to be. However, it is attracting more squirrels than birds. The perches are very thin and short and birds are having difficulty staying on. They land on the base to eat but seem to have trouble pecking the food out of the holes. I also mounted one on a pole which is included. Instructions say to put the pole 17 inches into the ground. I did that but the feeder sways a lot. I had to run lines to a clothes pole and to an eye hook on the house to steady it. We’ll see what happens in the next week or two. May have to find something else.

    I would not but again.

By Ross on Jan 21, 2021

For what it cost not worth the money. The hole have a bar up and down in the hole which make it to hard for birds to feed. We cut them out and seed still sticks in back of hole. Birds don't like sticking their heads in that far to get seeds.

    Packaging/quality

By Littlelizzy on Jan 24, 2021

Item came unassembled with no directions. Quality of plastic feeder tubes is flimsy at best. This was a manufacturer issue and not a Chewy issue

    Looks great. Impractical for feeding.

By AlexIdaho on Oct 24, 2020

Bought this feeder and I do like the way it looks but unfortunately the birds have a very hard time getting any food from the holes. I contacted the company and they explained that the holes previously were too big and some birds were getting their heads stuck inside so they fixed that by changing the insert but that also causes the food to get stuck. Additionally, I tried to get some replacement parts as one of the plastic tube broke and they are not available. Would not recommend this brand or feeder.

    A great feeder

By Rich on Aug 30, 2020

I had another one but the squirrels have chewed the insert for the birds to eat out of to pieces. I brought another since I have come up with something that the animals can't climb. It's the best feeder I ever had. I don't know about the pole it comes with cause the deer could shove it over.

    WRONG PURCHASE

By MrSYL on Sep 9, 2020

This feeder is TOO big and TOO heavy for older people. Advertisement does not give a size or a weight when full of seed. This is a necessary factor when hanging it full.

    Don't buy this feeder

By Ozzy on Jun 9, 2020

This feeder looks nice and all, but do not buy it, the birds cannot get their beaks in or get on the perches to eat out of it, There, fo some reason is a a plastic bar down the middle of the area where they birds feed that makes it even too small for event the smallest bird to get into, They are also cheap plastic, so a squirrel actually got up on the feeder and completely destroyed one of them.

    Not up to par

By checkers on Jul 18, 2020

I was totally unhappy with this feeder. It was up for less than two days, and the plastic inserts where bird perch were either broken or pulled out. Very cheaply made for the price.

    Bad feeder

By Stacey on May 19, 2020

This is not squirrel proof. Squirrels climb up the pole and not only ate all the bird seed but ate the plastic bird perch and all the seed fell all over the ground. Not a good design.
