    Awful Feeder

    By on

This feeder was a disaster. I mounted it on the pole that was provided. The hole in regular perches that were on the feeder are too small to dispense seed and sunflower seed mix. The birds were not able to get any seed and abandoned the feeder pretty quickly. The squirrels however were able to get into the feeder in short order chewed and broke the perches and were able to eat the seed freely. This is supposed to be squirrel proof. It actually provided a nice spot for them to feast. Returning this feeder immediately

    North States bird Feeder

    By on

Had this feeder for 15 years plus. Needed to replace after it had became weather worn. Could not believe that someone told me to check out Chewy.com. Found this same feeder. Looking forward to another 15 years to feed the birds. Thank you.

    Poor design

    By on

The seed does not fall into the openings so the birds can get to it the bottom dish is to deep it keeps all the seed that's dropped in it and gets wet when rains it's hard to clean out bottom dish when seed is wet to many small crevices I had to cut the back of the feeder cups so seed would be accessible to birds on the normal seed and the cup part and front cross on cup for black sunflowers .aluminum pole is to weak to hold full feeder it rocks really bad whenever the birds land on it. It would not of lasted so I put a metal bar in the support pole to help from bending would not recommend buying this feeder without somee design changes

    Do not waste your $$$

    By on

Defucult to put together instructions are not clear and leave out details. The screw, nut is so small it takes tweezers to get into place. The brackets are small and the feed tubes do not stay in place. Came home are dinner 3 nights later and found it all laying on the ground except the middle metal rod. Feed everywhere. Not only money wasted on feeder but the seed was also due to it falling. Took pictures.

    Great Feeder, with my modification

    By on

Bought this after reading reviews. Yes, birds did not like it at first. They had trouble getting the sunflower hearts out of the ports. ( The shinny plexiglass does not scare them as some reviewers claimed.) I simply took wire snippers and cut out the vertical divider in the center of each feeding port. Problem fixed and the birds are eagerly feasting away. JimBene

    DO NOT BUY THIS FEEDER

    By on

I have been feeding wild birds for over 4O years so i've been through many feeders. This buy far is the worst feeder on every level. As a pole feeder you have to either lift the entire feeder off the pole or climb a ladder to reach the feed ports. It comes with 3 tubes with the feeder holes so small even a goldfinch can't reach in far enough to get larger seed. Cleaning is a nightmare. Do not buy this feeder.

    Not Squirrel Proof

    By on

We have one squirrel that hangs around. It was on there the 1st day I hung the feeder. In 3 weeks it chewed some of the perches. Had to tape a feeder hole up as the see just poured out... Should have read some of the reviews.

    Not squirrel proof

    By on

This feeder is not squirrel proof. First time putting it up resulted in two chewed up perch inserts. I have it hanging from a post we installed in the lawn. Like that it holds lots of seed but, many of the portals are now unusable. Could you please tell me how I can get replacement inserts.

    Should be called squirrel feeder

    By on

Took the squirrels about two weeks to chew through the squirrel baffle at the bottom and then chew through the bird perches which left all the seeds out into the tray. Squirrels love it. Very disappointed.
