Keep uninvited guests away from your birdfeeder with the MyPet Two-Way Squirrel Baffle. Offering a convenient solution that can be hung or pole mounted, it works to protect birdfeeders from even the most crafty of squirrels. The free-swinging design defeats the squirrels every time, leaving your bird seed intact for its intended feathered friends. And with a warm gray color that complements any type or color of feeder, it’s also made to withstand the elements with a durable, molded plastic.
Two-way baffle protects birdfeeders from even the most persistent squirrels.
Can be hung or pole mounted, and includes everything needed for easy installation.
Free-swinging, inverted bowl shape features a large 15.75-inch diameter.
Adjustable design will fit poles from .5 inches to 1.25 inches.
Made in the USA from durable, molded plastic that will hold up to wind, rain, and shine.
There is nothing to hold the baffle onto the hook. The flange that is provided fits only on top the baffle--it isn't designed to fit on the inside the baffle as needed to hold the baffle up. That means when I unhook my bird feeder to fill it, the baffle falls down. I would need a 3rd hand to hold it.

At first I thought there was no way to stop squirrels from eating all my bird seed but it did!! Squirrels now eat the seeds that fall on the ground, therefore all get to eat and that has pleased me that no one leaves hungry ànd it gives me pleasure to watch them eat.
Seems to be working:-)

We had about 4 squirrels emptying out the birdseed every day and since we put up the baffles we've only seen one and it's only collecting off the ground not destroying the bird feeders (we had 2 completely destroyed) hopefully those days have passed since the baffles.
Squirrels are very smart!

The first birdfeeder I had the squirrel figured out how to get around the baffle to the feeder. So I bought a squirrel proof bird feeder, that plus the baffle have done the trick. The baffle
is a good product.
Complete piece, no way to open it to put around a pole

Bought this to put on a pole that is already placed in the ground and I could not use this product because there was no way to put it on the pole. Very disappointed
Great for pole-mount, does not work when hung

These baffles are great to pole-mount, but will not stop even the most timid squirrel from getting to your feeder as a hanging baffle. They can easily hang from the hook with their back feet, grab the edge of the baffle, and flip under onto your feeder. Also, because it's a 2-in-1, the dome is not attached to the hook when hung and even the slightest breeze will set it to banging around and scare off any birds. I would recommend this baffle to pole-mount, but get the Songbird Essentials 20" Hanging Baffle (not 12", that won't be any better than this one) or the Mandarin Squirrel-Away Baffle if you really want to keep critters off your hanging feeders.

I purchased this product for a different use than it is designed for... I do not use it as a squirrel baffle for a bird feeder, I use it instead as an umbrella or rain awning over my dedicated hanging squirrel feeders. This shelters the squirrels from the rain and they hunker down under the dome with a hanging feeder full of squirrel food suspended from the bottom dome hook. I sit on the front porch and watch them when it’s raining.
I have squirrel feeders located on black walnut trees away from my bird feeders and so the little buggers get a “bribe” to stay away from the bird feeders. So far, three years running, it works.

This baffle seems to have discouraged our freeloading squirrel visitors. I had to experiment a little with how I was hanging the bird feeders under them but as long as the squirrel doesn't have anything to grab as he slides quickly by, he lands in a heap on the ground! The way it is made to swivel really works great - no matter how the squirrel tries to stay on, it just tips and off he goes. I bought four and I'm glad I did.

The squirrels are smarter than whoever designed this ridiculous shield. A waste of time; i’m Returning it to Chewy.

I've tried hanging two different types of bird feeders under the baffle, but the squirrels are amazingly resourceful. They have no problem getting under it and climbing on top of the bird feeder to munch.
The baffle may work if it is installed on a tall pole under the bird feeder. I'll try that next.
