  • This dish is great.

    By on

I have bought this dish several times. My dog absolutely loves it and will not eat out of anything else. When he was a puppy, it really helped to slow down his “gobbling”. Other dogs in our family are intrigued by this dish and have chosen to eat out of this dish and not their own dog bowl. I have bought it for them and they instantly took to it. I would highly recommend this product

  • MINI, NOT!

    By on

I bought this item for my 16 pound terrier mix. It was described as a mini. My dog would not be able to reach the bottom of this thing to get here food. I gave. It to my son who has a golden retriever. Very disappointed. Mini should be for small dogs & this does not qualify as “mini”.

  • works great!

    By on

Our new 40-pound hound mix rescue would wolf her food in under ten seconds. We tried two other slow feeding bowls, which increased the time to almost thirty seconds. With this feeder, it takes her two or three minutes to eat! It takes up a lot of space in the dishwasher, but it comes out like new, and I wouldn't want to hand wash it! It works great for us.

  • MUST HAVE for fast eaters!

    By on

My golden retriever puppy was inhaling his food in under a minute. I bought the bowls with the swirls and little designs and he got those down to 4 minutes. When I saw this, I was so hesitant to buy it because of how expensive it is, but let me tell you it is worth EVERY penny. Best feeding bowl ever for fast eaters. The first time he ate from it it took him 26 minutes. Now he has it down to about 15-18 and his digestion is 100% better!

  • Keeps My Lab busy

Perfect to slow down a big, fast eater. I put it up after she eats so she won't chew it up.

  • Slow Feeder

    By on

I tried a few slow feeders, this was one of them I tried for dry food. It did not work well with my fast eating dogs; it just made a mess. For dogs you need sides. I did find one that had sides and fewer nubs that works pretty well.

  • This Slow Feeder Actually Works!

    By on

This Northmate Green was the ONLY slow feeder that slowed down my dog every time. My dog now takes 8 to 9 minutes to finish his good with this at every meal. Thank you Chewy for selling this awesome product! Other slow feeders would slow him down only by maybe 30 seconds.

  • The BEST slow feeder on the market!!!!

    By on

This is absolutely the best slow feeder on the market! I've tried probably at least 10 of them now and this one is the one that really works. One of my dogs had intensive foreign body surgery when she was 2 years old. It's mandatory that she eats slow otherwise she regorges her food and irritates the esophagus. This surgery removed nearly half of her small intestines. She eats special food that will digest easier, but the real key to her long term success has been finding a good slow feeder. She's now 6 and has recovered well with our diligent care and providing proper feeding options. Thanks Northmate!

  • This product WORKS!

    By on

Siberian Huskies are known for their fast moving skills, which can and does include speed eating. I have tried several slow eat bowls and products, but this, I have found is by far the best. When I tried to order another couple, I found they were no longer in stock :(. So sorry to hear that because this is the one I would highly recommend.

  • Really Works!

    By on

This feeder is wonderful! It's helped our GSD, Brandi, slow down tremendously and finally eat at a normal pace. She used to gulp her entire bowl down in literally 30 - 40 seconds, quite often making herself sick from inhaling so much air. No problems since switching to her patch of grass! Brandi now takes at least 15 minutes to eat, sometimes even leaving a few pieces because she's tired of poking around. By the third night of use, she figured out how to push the feeder off of the chair she's fed on. Repositioned the chair & now the only problem is the stink-eye she gives us at feeding time!
