The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight. We suggest feeding twice a day. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.

Transition Instructions

It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, ten days and could take upwards of two weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change:

Day 1 & 2: Feed 80% of your pet’s old food with 20% of the new food.

Day 3 & 4: Feed 60% of your pet’s old food with 40% of the new food.

Day 5 & 6: Feed 40% of your pet’s old food with 60% of the new food.

Day 7, 8 & 9: Feed 20% of your pet’s old food with 80% of the new food.

Day 10 & Forever: Feed 100% new food

    Quality Changed

The 1st bag was great. Then second bag food was completely different and dog wouldn't touch it. She barked at her food bowl. Chewy send another bag for free and she won't eat that either. Stay away from this brand!

Smells and looks good but my dog won't eat. Bought as trial as he would not eat original purchase either.

This is the only food my dogs will eat

    By on

I have 2 great pyrenees. One will eat anything. The other one is a picky senior as she has digestive issues with many ingredients as she has grown older. She is also picky with flavor. I have tried THEM ALL...literally ALL. I was running out of options when the owner of the store in my town suggested this brand. Thank God...this is the ONLY food she will eat. And happily their coats are more beautiful than any food I have ever tried. I hate the price but I love the outcomes so I will stick with it.

A good food, but not for my 130 lb Doberman

Kernel's too small for my large dog, he choked on them and made a huge mess while eating. They need a large breed nugget.

    Quality but too expensive

    By on

I love the Petcurean brand but my word! The price is out of sight. I just received the Whole Dog Journal that reviews dry dog foods and I will look for one with quality but more within my budget. I do use Petcurean for a 13.5 year old kidney dog and won't budge on that, but this is for a 3 year old healthy male. Chewy, as usual ROCKS with both delivery and with their inventory so I'm sure I'll find something else for auto delivery.

    Not enjoyed by all

    By on

I normally bounce around foods from Chewy for my 4 pugs. The last 2 brands I bought were weruva and Tylees frozen. This is the first food that 2 of my pugs are not excited to eat... they are pugs.. they think pistachio shells are a treat (which i make them spit out, of course) I have no idea why they dislike this food so much, it's definitely a first for this house. That being said, the bag reclosure top is fabulous and my boy pug thinks it's fantastic.

    Expensive but worth it

    By on

Finding "quality" food that doesn't have by-products, fillers and other questionable ingredients is becoming more difficult by the day, it seems. I had to find a new food fast because the brand I was using "reformulated" to what I felt lowered its quality... it was a hard stop/change for my dog, and she LOVED this food without any digestive issues with such a quick changeover.

It is not for my dog ..

    By on

My two poodles love FROMM dog food but it was no longer available as I tried to something new one. Unfortunately, it seems like My dogs don't like this dog food. They don't eat much like FROMM dog food.. I ordered two but I should have ordered just one bag for a try. Anyway, I have to find another one for them.

Quality there, taste is not for Heidi

    By on

One of the better brands for your dogs health, quality ingredients and made either in Canada or U.S.A., however, my spoiled dog will not eat it and if I mix it in her wet food, she won't eat her wet food then! Obviously each pooch has their preference, so don't let my dogs spoiled palate shy you away from trying Now Fresh, it brings quality to the table.
