The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight. We suggest feeding twice a day. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.

Transition Instructions

It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, ten days and could take upwards of two weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change:

Day 1 & 2: Feed 80% of your pet’s old food with 20% of the new food.

Day 3 & 4: Feed 60% of your pet’s old food with 40% of the new food.

Day 5 & 6: Feed 40% of your pet’s old food with 60% of the new food.

Day 7, 8 & 9: Feed 20% of your pet’s old food with 80% of the new food.

Day 10 & Forever: Feed 100% new food

  • Not enjoyed by all

I normally bounce around foods from Chewy for my 4 pugs. The last 2 brands I bought were weruva and Tylees frozen. This is the first food that 2 of my pugs are not excited to eat... they are pugs.. they think pistachio shells are a treat (which i make them spit out, of course) I have no idea why they dislike this food so much, it's definitely a first for this house. That being said, the bag reclosure top is fabulous and my boy pug thinks it's fantastic.

  • Quality but too expensive

I love the Petcurean brand but my word! The price is out of sight. I just received the Whole Dog Journal that reviews dry dog foods and I will look for one with quality but more within my budget. I do use Petcurean for a 13.5 year old kidney dog and won't budge on that, but this is for a 3 year old healthy male. Chewy, as usual ROCKS with both delivery and with their inventory so I'm sure I'll find something else for auto delivery.

  • Expensive but worth it

Finding "quality" food that doesn't have by-products, fillers and other questionable ingredients is becoming more difficult by the day, it seems. I had to find a new food fast because the brand I was using "reformulated" to what I felt lowered its quality... it was a hard stop/change for my dog, and she LOVED this food without any digestive issues with such a quick changeover.

  • It is not for my dog ..

My two poodles love FROMM dog food but it was no longer available as I tried to something new one. Unfortunately, it seems like My dogs don't like this dog food. They don't eat much like FROMM dog food.. I ordered two but I should have ordered just one bag for a try. Anyway, I have to find another one for them.

  • Quality there, taste is not for Heidi

One of the better brands for your dogs health, quality ingredients and made either in Canada or U.S.A., however, my spoiled dog will not eat it and if I mix it in her wet food, she won't eat her wet food then! Obviously each pooch has their preference, so don't let my dogs spoiled palate shy you away from trying Now Fresh, it brings quality to the table.

  • My pup Loves this new food.

I was looking for a replacement of dog food and of course wanted one that had superior quality. I think I found it! Gunner is doing wonderful and after 1 week of mixing the two foods he was doing well. So happy I made the switch.

  • Fantastic food

This is the ONLY food our Corgi can eat. She was rescued from the 2007 floods in Miami OK. The flood waters were contaminated from the largest EPA Superfund mine waters. A paracite attached itself inside her organ walls & damaged them. She had to have a high protein food, if not we had intestinal explosion. But when she eats Now, there's no problems!!!!

  • Great food

We have only used red meat Now. Our dog is a 3 year old labradoodle with excellent health including skin, coat, energy, and wellness. He eats about 30.percent more than the amount recommended, but he is very active. We use the kibble as treats and he does not know the difference. He is a happy dog.

  • This product didn't work for us.

Most of my dogs are small and the kibble was large and also very hard. My seniors could not eat it very well at all. I wish they had more varieties for small dogs. I feed Now Fresh, Weight mngmnt, senior, small breed and have for quite awhile. They all seem to like it, even the non-senior ones. I use it, also to mix with a new food, that I am introducing to them. I am sure that some dogs might just love the Red meat recipe. I think Petcurean is a very good company, and will continue to purchase products from them.

  • This grain free, combination of red meats dry food makes me feel great about what I'm feeding my dogs while they are very happy to eat it!

My three normally picky large German Shepherd dogs LOVE this red meat dry food! When I open the food container to dish out their meals, they try to eat it directly from the bin as if it's a treat! I am thrilled that I have found such a wholesome diet that my dogs eat so eagerly. I know that they're getting complete, high quality, lean nutrition in a food that I don't have to constantly coax them to eat!
