The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight. We suggest feeding twice a day. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.
It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, ten days and could take upwards of two weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change:
Day 1 & 2: Feed 80% of your pet’s old food with 20% of the new food.
Day 3 & 4: Feed 60% of your pet’s old food with 40% of the new food.
Day 5 & 6: Feed 40% of your pet’s old food with 60% of the new food.
Day 7, 8 & 9: Feed 20% of your pet’s old food with 80% of the new food.
Day 10 & Forever: Feed 100% new food

I used this for my previous GSD . He always had good health, teeth, stools and coat. The ingredients are top notch . I just switched to go solutions digestion by the same company but a step down in quality meats because my vet told me the pea protein ratio is too high for heart conditions and in the 1st 5 ingredients. I wish this food had more choices with out peas , and still had quality meats and grains . There are not a lot of pea free options of others that are not loaded with corn wheat and soy. Love the brand not the peas.
I have used Petcurean Go Solutions for over a year and notice this new senior food that they are now offering. After my second 12 lb bag I notice a bad breath in my dog , blood red gums and gas. I am going back to the Go Solutions. Just upsets my dogs tummy .
Rated as one of the best grain-free large breed foods from Whole Dog Journal. Our Dane Mixes love the larger, grooved kibble pieces (helps slow down their eating), and we used to have to put a portion of canned food on top of their kibble but not with this food! The absolutely LOVE it, and I do too because I know they are getting the best a kibble can be.
Our great Dane loves this stuff, highly recommend!
I have 3 dogs and they wouldn't touch it! I bought another brand after spending 100$
Had a little of wild buffalo food left when I bought this. He does not like this food and it was so expensive!
Larger kibble which I need for training. Hopefully Petcurean won't change the forumla (unless they just remove the lectin containing ingredients and the GMO oil) like so many companies have done and change the kibble size. OK ingredients but they use cheap canola oil which is flammatory, GMO and has the remnats of harmful pesticides. Also peas are not great due to them being lectins. (Lectins are sticky proteins that bind to carbohydrates.)
The 3 starts are because my 90lb lab LOVES this food. I saw some people stating it caused weight gain and that could be as simple as not adjusting for the nutrient density and calories. The 2 stars missing? Well… as dog parents this is outside the realm of affordability for us and our next autoship will likely be our last order of it.
excellent, dog food like this is recommended in the book " the forever dog ". My lab gets 1 1/2 cups at night. in the morning she gets broccoli, blue berrys, carrots, strawberrys, cellery, apple, beef
Good dry food but with the recent 40% increase I will be switching to something else.
