The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight. We suggest feeding twice a day. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.

Transition Instructions

It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, ten days and could take upwards of two weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change:

Day 1 & 2: Feed 80% of your pet’s old food with 20% of the new food.

Day 3 & 4: Feed 60% of your pet’s old food with 40% of the new food.

Day 5 & 6: Feed 40% of your pet’s old food with 60% of the new food.

Day 7, 8 & 9: Feed 20% of your pet’s old food with 80% of the new food.

Day 10 & Forever: Feed 100% new food

  • Size of kibble

    By on

The six pound bags have tiny bites just right size for toy puppy. Bought the 25#size and it’s bigger bites? Why? Ingredients same I think. This food was better for young pups digestion, even though it does contain peas and pea protein. The process must be different from other peas/ food. It solved problem for us.

  • Mini Schnauzers favorite food

I have a 9 month old mini schnauzer that is under weight. We have tried two other puppy foods since we got him when he was 9 weeks but he just isn't a big eater. He seems to like this one the best. We got a sample of it at a local fair and he ate it right up so I ordered a bag and he's still happy with it. He is about 9 lbs and the kernels aren't too big for him, I went back and forth about ordering the small breed version but decided to stick to what I know is working.

  • Kibble size

    By on

1st Time dog/puppy owner I did a lot of quality research and found your product to be a superior choice for a lower cost than others. But I think the kibble size is a little too big for my 2 moth old pug puppy. Ty John Hollland

  • Great puppy kibble

    By on

My 4-month old black labrador puppy loves this kibble; she gets complimented on her shiny coat very often! I plan on keeping her eating this kibble, perhaps would consider branching out to try other flavors in the future. The ingredient list stands out for the lack of processed meats or meat byproducts. That's exactly what I was looking for. The only reason why I didn't give it 5-stars is the price, which is quite steep compared to other kibbles of similar quality.
