The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight. We suggest feeding twice a day. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.
It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, ten days and could take upwards of two weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change:
Day 1 & 2: Feed 80% of your pet’s old food with 20% of the new food.
Day 3 & 4: Feed 60% of your pet’s old food with 40% of the new food.
Day 5 & 6: Feed 40% of your pet’s old food with 60% of the new food.
Day 7, 8 & 9: Feed 20% of your pet’s old food with 80% of the new food.
Day 10 & Forever: Feed 100% new food

Big girl gone good
By Moomoo on Sep 16, 2018
My English bulldog, 8, has put on her happy senior weight of the century but still likes to run ... I know right. We were looking for a new kibble since Acana switched to American made and the protein content was too high for her. Then this popped up and we decided to try it. She gobbles it up and seems to stay full longer. We have only had it a little close to a month but we don't have to spike it for her to eat it. We feed her two cups a day with green beans and some salmon. Her fur is shiny and we are thinking of switching to the fish once we see those love pounds pop off!

Good for weight management
By Jewellej on Mar 24, 2018
I was on the normal adult brand which quickly put weight on one of my neutered digs, so I switched to the weight management formula. This is work8ing good to keep the weight under control but I wish the fiber content was as low as the adult brand so the stool would be harder and less frequent...

Cancel acct
By Shelley on Apr 14, 2018
I expected to receive the food for small dogs. The food I received is too hard for my fur babies to chew. I have to add water, which I don’t want to do. I would rather buy local so I know what I’m getting.

Lulu luves it
By Lulu on Jan 29, 2018
Our 10 year old French Bully was a very finicky eater. We would fill her bowl in the morning and we would often need to "enhance " her food in the evening with cheese to get her to eat. We went to reorder her usual food but Chewy but was out of stock and didn't know if or when it would be back. We had to go to our local pet supply and found "Now"on an introduction sale and it was highly recommend. We bought a bag and Lulu took one sniff and devoured the whole bowl. We now have to give her half in the morning and half at night as she just can't wait and she polishes it off immediately. We even give it to her for reward treats. She looks great and even seems to have more energy. We were happy to Our 10 year old French Bully was a very finicky eater. Did not work for my dog.
By Paola on Jan 1, 2018
I have a 11 year old pit bull. She has been in a prescribed diet for the past 3 years due to her allergies ( Vegetarian -Royal Canine) Her food worked great for her but she grew tired of it and stop eating her food. We switched to this food since she is grain free and she is a senior. She did not like it, i had to mix the food with cooked lamb, carrots and peas to make her eat it. It might work for other dogs unfortunately for mine it did not :(

Good food for shiny coats
By Donna on Jan 30, 2018
My dogs like this food. Their coats look very healthy. I have one dog with a very sensitive stomach and this has not made him sick at all.

What I needed
By arowens on Nov 13, 2017
I was looking for a quality food with cooling properties (TCVM) AND low in phosphorus for a senior dog with kidney issues. I met a rep for this food at the Association for Professional Dog Trainers conference and she had a perfect solution. She told me Chewy carries it and I came home and put it on auto-ship. My dog's a Lab, so I can't speak for finicky eaters, but she loves it!
