The amount of food your dog needs will vary depending on breed, activity level, age and climate. Use our feeding chart as a guide, adjusting the quantity fed to achieve your dog’s ideal weight. We suggest feeding twice a day. Provide fresh, clean water at all times. Regular exercise will help maintain a healthy body weight. Love, attention and tummy rubs should be given freely, as often as possible.
It’s important to slowly transition your pet to a new food so their system has a chance to adapt to the change. The transition period should be at minimum, ten days and could take upwards of two weeks, depending on your pet’s sensitivity to change:
Day 1 & 2: Feed 80% of your pet’s old food with 20% of the new food.
Day 3 & 4: Feed 60% of your pet’s old food with 40% of the new food.
Day 5 & 6: Feed 40% of your pet’s old food with 60% of the new food.
Day 7, 8 & 9: Feed 20% of your pet’s old food with 80% of the new food.
Day 10 & Forever: Feed 100% new food

Great for toy breeds!

2 of my senior Chihuahuas eat this and love it! These are some of the smallest kibbles I've seen which is important for me as both of my dogs that are eating this food are 4.5 lbs and 6.3 lbs. They both love this food and I love that it includes glucosamine for better hip and joint function. This food does not have a lot of the 'fall out' dust like many other foods covered in little fall out particles. Packaging is great because it has a resealable zip at the top for freshness.

Have been looking for a grain free senior dry dog food, but all had beef or chicken in them, and large pieces. This is perfect, what I was looking for. The dogs love it. I’m waiting to see the change in their weight.

New Food for my Pom

I had been feeding my Pomeranian Science Diet which he has been okay with eating. Decided to try this food, he really likes it (cleans his bowl) and I think it is easier for him to eat because of it shape and texture. His stool has been a little softer though so a little harder to pickup.

I have tried a lot of foods with my little Havanese. He has been biting his legs forever. I’ve tried sprays creams everything I could think of. Now he is getting better. The only way I could get him to eat is to add canned food. I bought both the NOW dry petite and also the canned food. He cannot wait until I get through with my work in the mornings so that I can feed him.

I love the little kibble, but my porky Yorkie is not a big fan. He will eat it because he is hungry, but not too happy about it. Hopefully it will help him lose some weight.

Our dog is very picky and also refuses to eat same thing more than once or twice. However Now dog food, senior, small dog, and kibble helps her to continue to eat meals.

My senior chihuahua loves this kibble. He gets excited every time I reach for the bag and he can hardly wait until I set his bowl down. My only issue is that I think he loves it so much that sometimes he forgets to chew.

My 3kg Chihuahua loves this food. The kibble is also TINY which she appreciates, makes it very easy to chew. Not only is it small, but it is also not very dense which makes it easy to crunch. I've added a photo of the food next to some Zuke's Mini Naturals treats to help show size. Some benefits I like about this food is that the calories are quite a bit lower than most other high quality brands. My dog can eat more of this food without gaining weight. She no longer begs like she did on other foods that she had to eat teeny tiny portions on. I am also a fan of the very low phosphorus and moderate amount of sodium. Good for keeping senior dogs healthy (my dog is 12). Output is great, just My 3kg Chihuahua loves this food. The kibble is also TINY which she appreciates, makes it very easy to chew. Not only is it small, but it is also not very dense which makes it easy to crunch. I've added a photo of the food next to some Zuke's Mini Naturals treats to help show size. Our Senior Cairn Loves This Food

We have two Cairn Terriers - one is 3 years old and our Senior guy is 10 years old. Our Senior Cairn is a little overweight. It’s always a concern for us because we don’t want extra weight to affect his joint health as he ages. He always seems hungry so we’ve been looking for a good quality Senior Weight Control dry food that allows us to feed him an amount that satisfies his hunger & helps us control his weight. He has only been on “Now Fresh” brand a short time but we already notice he doesn’t act like he’s “starving” all the time. I was concerned with how small the kibble was - afraid he would just swallow it whole instead of chewing it but he crunches it up just fine.
