Feeding Instructions

Dehydration essentially preserves the enzymes in whole food by removing the moisture to slow their activity. To prepare dehydrated foods for consumption, water is simply added back to the food. For every cup of dry food measured, add 1/2 - 3/4 cup of warm water. Mix well and allow to refresh for 20 - 30 minutes before serving. For more complete digestion and smaller stools, split the ration into 2 feedings: morning and evening. Refrigerate leftovers.

For every 20 lbs your dog weighs, feed approximately 1 cup of NRF dry measure. Dogs, just like people, may require more or less than the suggested serving depending on activity level and age.

Transition Instructions

When switching your dog’s diet, we recommend that it be done gradually over a 5 – 7 day period.

Great food, hope it stays on the market

    By on

I have a 6 month old Shar Pei. When we first purchased him we started him on Victor Nutra Pro. Victor in itself is a great food, but we noticed that he was constantly itching, losing hair, his face was constantly swollen etc. In turn, our vet recommended that we try a different food product, due to possible food allergies. Initially I tried making our own dog food, but after 1 week of food preparation I knew that I needed to find another option. This is the only dog food that I have found that does not have preservatives, additives, etc. I can actually read all the ingredients without having to google them! We have had him on this food for about a week, and I am already seeing a difference. His eyes have cleared up, his face is no longer swollen, his hair is not falling out...it is truly incredible! I have purchased the raw chicken, beef, and salmon recipe for him. I found that if I mix them he prefers it better. He goes crazy over this stuff. It is just like overnight oats for humans. I literally measure it out, add water, stick it in the fridge...and it is ready to go for the next day. I am really hoping that this product stays on the market. Even though it is a little pricey it is worth every penny. I like that I am feeding a food product to my dog that is human grade. You can see and point out every ingredient in each scoop. Not to mention, my furry family member is no longer suffering from food allergies. … more

    Best Choice at the Cost

I think for the most part it has high quality ingredients and no potatoes or oats. My dogs like it and it looks like real food not glop.

    My dog loves it

We switched to NRG The Raw One when our Cavalier puppy was about 10 months old. It was a game changer. I don’t have to cook food and she gets a balanced meal simply by adding hot water. It cools a little and voila! Our dog goes crazy for it, and we are both very happy.

My dog wouldn't eat it...not sure why

    By on

My dog really liked the salmon version of NRGs raw one, but the first cup of the chicken and he ate less than half then refused to finish it. Rather than waste it I gave it to a friend. Really odd since my dog usually loves chicken anything!

    Very Good Dogfood

    By on

Looking for a great limited ingredient dog food that has wholesome ingredients and this is it. Our 10 year old Golden is very happy with this food and cleans the bowl. It is a little expensive but worth it to see her so happy and energetic. Staying away from canned food with all the BPA and legumes that dogs should not be eating.

    Great food!

This food has great ingredients and looks really good. Simple to make and my dogs seem to love it. The only negative is that its a bit pricey, but then you have to pay more to get better food.
