Every puppy is a little different, so the ideal feeding amount may vary with age, size and activity level. Please use the information below as a starting guideline only and adjust as required. Ask your veterinarian if you’re unsure. Always provide plenty of clean, fresh water and hugs.
Puppies may require up to twice the amounts shown, and nursing/pregnant mothers up to 3 times the amounts shown.
When first introducing your pet to Nulo, we recommend slowly transitioning over the course of 5 to 7 days to reduce the risk of digestive upset that can occur with a rapid change in diet. We recommend portioning 25% of the new food on the first day mixed with 75% of the former food. Over the course of several days, gradually increase this ratio until you are feeding 100% of the new food. This will allow your pet's digestive system time to adjust to any new ingredients and will help to ensure a smooth transition. Mixing up proteins can be a great way to provide variety to your pet's diet. Once your pet has transitioned to the Nulo platform, rotating between recipes is generally seamless!

Simple Nutrition for Healthier Pets
Nulo Freestyle is a grain-free dog food with high crude protein levels to feed your dog's inner athlete. Made in the USA, these small-batch recipes stay fresher longer and give him the premium protein he needs to play, run and enjoy a long, active life with you. Nulo offers energy that lasts with healthy carb alternatives and low glycemic ingredients, plus a patented probiotic for better digestion.
More Animal-Based Protein
Over 80% of the protein in Nulo Freestyle comes from real lamb meat, chicken, salmon, turkey or cod. Nulo has industry-leading levels of these delicious animal proteins that dogs crave as devoted meat eaters. Not only are they tasty for your pup, but they're rich in muscle-repairing amino acids that can only come from real meat sources.

Lasting, Slow-Burning Energy
In all of their formulas, Nulo uses low glycemic ingredients and alternative carb sources for slow-burning energy. Chickpeas, lentils and sweet potatoes help regulate blood sugar levels to keep your four-legged workout partner full of vitality. With a reduced risk of obesity and early diabetes, Nulo is a good choice for both active dogs and the those that camp out at the food dish for an all-day buffet.
No Shortcuts or Fillers
From the method of preparation to carefully selected ingredients, Nulo never cuts corners in their recipes. They've included fresh meat, free-roam poultry and wild-caught fish paired with wholesome apples, blueberries, carrots, sweet potatoes or lentils. Their formulas are high in animal protein and low in carbs without empty fillers like potatoes, tapioca, gluten, corn, wheat or soy. And they never use poultry or meat by-products; GMOs; or artificial colors, preservatives or flavoring.

Powered by Probiotics
Nulo ensures that your dog will get the full benefits of all the valuable nutrients with guaranteed levels of the patented BC30 probiotic. It supplies live beneficial bacteria that facilitate digestion, support the immune system, reduce gas, increase nutrient absorption and improve stool quality. This powerful probiotic also prevents the growth of yeast that can cause skin problems and ear infections.
About Nulo
Inspired by world-class athletes and their sporty pets, Nulo provides simple nutrition to keep pets active and healthy throughout their lives. This Texas-based company began in Austin as an answer to the rise of pet obesity and diabetes caused by nutritionally poor food. Nulo is a different kind of pet food. These fresh, small-batch recipes deliver long-lasting energy, are easy to digest and simply taste better in the bowl.

Really decent but fairly expensive and rarely on sale
By Jamie on Jan 19, 2021
Purchased this because my Pup has started to develop an allergy to chicken and/or legumes. We started with a five pound bag because she had put herself on a hunger strike. Her first bowl of this, she absolutely loved. We've been able to use the kibble in her activity boards because its much smaller than her previous kibble. I'm a little unhappy that the 10 pound bag isn't resealable like the 5 pound, but overall, i would absolutely recommend this IF your dog has certain allergies.

dog loves this food
By Zoe71 on Feb 1, 2021
Zoe loves her nulo. The limited ingredient salmon keeps her sensitive stomach at bay and we use the nulo freeze tried toppers and she literally does circles around the counter and jumps like crazy when the food is coming! Best chicken free formula out there!

Sensitive Stomach
By Seana on Dec 11, 2020
I’ve tried so many different brands for one of my dogs (Pit/Lab) His stool is always loose or just diarrhea, until now. From the second day he started eating the Free Style Limited, his poops were solid. Proud mom moment. Thanks, Nulo

By rescuepup on Jan 21, 2021
My dog got sick over the holidays and refused to eat pretty much anything besides human food, and this was the first thing she took to!

Nulo Rocks
By Blue on Dec 2, 2020
We adopted our Pit mix who was on this food. When I ran out I used another brand his tummy was not happy. Too much poop! I switched back and now he is a happy pup and so is his human.

Great for dog with tummy and skin issues
By Drea on Sep 1, 2020
Our puppy had chronic diarrhea for months; eventually our vet recommended we find a dog food that had a single protein and carb source that was for puppies. Nulo for the bill, so we tried it, and it cured all her tummy issues! Once she became an adult, we tried shifting her to Wellness, but she got dry, flakey skin and started to smell. We switched back to Nulo, and she is back to her healthy, happy self.

Allergic Dog
By Furbabies on Jul 4, 2020
My dog had stomach problems and I did a nutriscan and they recommended this brand. He is completely on this and it seems to be working fine. I am going to try turkey cuz the salmon smells. But may have to come back to the salmon.

good vs. bad
By riches on Jun 25, 2020
It did cure my pup's stomach issues but after about a month he stopped eating it and we had to find something else. My only concern was that it has a chemical smell to it.

Satisfied pup!
By Julia228 on Apr 30, 2020
I recently adopted an 8 month old pup. She was eating science diet food, and I transitioned her to Nulo. There were zero issues with stomach distress, and she actually seems to enjoy the good more. I highly recommend this balanced food choice! Happy pup = happy mom

Satisfied customer
By Lucky on Apr 25, 2020
My dog, a rescue, has been on Nulo for months. He likes it, but it is high in calories and expensive. I wish there were a lighter caloric version and one that was less costly. Other than that, I am totally satisfied.
