Transition Instructions
When first introducing your pet to Nulo, we recommend slowly transitioning over the course of 5 to 7 days to reduce the risk of digestive upset that can occur with a rapid change in diet. We recommend portioning 25% of the new food on the first day mixed with 75% of the former food. Over the course of several days, gradually increase this ratio until you are feeding 100% of the new food. This will allow your pet's digestive system time to adjust to any new ingredients and will help to ensure a smooth transition. Mixing up proteins can be a great way to provide variety to your pet's diet. Once your pet has transitioned to the Nulo platform, rotating between recipes is generally seamless!
These protein-rich diets have proteins from animal sources as the first 3-4 ingredients. Low-carb and low-glycemic ingredients provide stable energy levels, while the proprietary GanedenBC30 probiotic aids digestive and immune health. Plus, they’re made without pea protein, white potatoes, corn, tapioca, wheat or soy.
Raising the Bar on What’s in Their Bowl
From their careful selection of ingredients—like protein-rich turkey, lamb, salmon, chicken, beef and duck—to low-glycemic carb source choices like lentils, chickpeas, barley, oat, millet and sweet potatoes, Nulo approaches pet food the way they approach everything—no shortcuts allowed.
(Nu)trition + (Lo)ve
Nutrition and love are at the core of everything Nulo does. That is why they only use the finest ingredients to craft their high-meat, low-carb recipes. So go ahead and show your pet some love with the wholesome nutrition of Nulo foods.
Healthier Together
Since day one, Nulo has been committed to inspiring pet parents to live healthier together with their pets. That starts with nutrition—animal-based proteins for muscle, low carbs for a healthy weight, and probiotics for immune support are just a few of the ways each recipe provides your pet with a healthy start at every meal. So whatever the day brings, from a big stretch to endless fetch, your best friend will be ready!
What’s the Secret? Real Food!
The team at Nulo believes that keeping pets healthy is a way of life. That’s why their formulas are full of everything pets need and nothing they don’t. The secret in every Nulo recipe is real food you can feel good about feeding.

My dog is a year and 6 months, should I still give him this food or should I switch to the adult version?
Answer by • Jul 03, 2019
A puppy is generally considered an adult when they stop growing taller. Typically for small breeds this is between 9-12 months, medium breeds around 12 months and large breeds closer to 15 months.
My senior boxer started out slow but now loves this kibble. She doesn’t choke as much with this dry kibble as she has with others. I contacted chewy to let them know that twice the bag arrived torn and kibble was all over the box. Hopefully they reinforce the bags during shipment so this doesn’t keep happening.

My puppies loved this food!
I came across Nulo in my search for a good quality puppy food. My puppies loved this food, however I won't be using this product long term, it's full of peas and legumes with no added taurine. My search continues

Both dogs love this food
We have 2 small dogs, both love this dry food. We feed it to them as a treat and a reward while potty training them.

Caused Hives
I was so excited to try this food. I did extensive research on it and everything looked promising. However, our poor 8 week old puppy a (GSP not usually an allergy prone breed) broke out in hives after two days of feeding it to her and continued to worsen until fully removed off of it.

5 Month Old Puppy Likes This Better Than All The Other Premium Brands
Bought half a dozen small bags of different premium dry puppy food. Our 5 month old puppy loves Nulo, tolerates a few of the other brands, and refuses to eat a couple of the others. Our 4 year old adult dog went on a hunger strike a couple years back and refused to eat dry food anymore. Out of curiosity I gave him a few small piles of each of the dry puppy food brands. Nulo was the only one he would eat.

Rescue Puppy
My kids in California rescued a JR puppy. Full of fleas and ticks. No shots either. I offered (I live in Oregon) to get him debugged, shots, pee pads and good nutrition. My fur babies love Nulo so I ordered Nulo Puppy from Chewy. Rusty loves it and runs to the bag at dinner time.
The veterinarian said he’s 4 months, 6 lbs and in good health. Thank you Chewy for fast delivery.
