Can we store the open can in the fridge for a few days with a plastic lid?
Answer by ChewyOct 15, 2022
We recommend refrigerating any leftover product in an airtight container, such as a plastic container with a lid, and using after three days of opening. Once opened, the product needs to be stored in the fridge and used within three days. If you can’t use it that quickly, the best way to preserve it is to put it into an ice cube tray and freeze it. It will be good for up to three months once frozen. Then you can just pop out a cube each time you need it. When you are ready to use it, you can either let it thaw in the fridge, microwave it for a few seconds or feed it to your pet as a frozen treat.

Is this ok for a person to eat too? My cats refuse to eat their food when I mix it in. Don't want it to go to waste.
Answer by ChewyDec 11, 2017
Nummy Tum-Tum products are grown and processed in the same facility as their human grade products and since there are no additional ingredients, it’s also safe for human consumption.

What is the shelf life of unopened cans?
Answer by ChewyDec 18, 2017
We recommend using within three days of opening and it's best to refrigerate once it's opened. Freezing the product in ice cube trays will help keep the product good for up to three months.

Does it contain sugar? I tried to buy this at the supermarket & couldn’t find unsweetened. I didn’t want my baby to have sugar!
Answer by ChewyDec 08, 2018
Nummy Tum-Tum Pure Organic Pumpkin doesn't come in an unsweetened version. This supplement would contain sugar that is naturally derived while being made.

Pumpkin puppy

My pup has struggled with which dog food. What to feed her. I finally found the dog food Acana topped with pumpkin is the answer. This pumpkin is a bit wetter than say Libby’s. It still achieves the goal. Easier to get this than buying all those cans at grocery. She loves it. Chewy price for Acana is less than a local specialty PET store. Pumpkin is about the same price.

Excellent for digestion

Used to give this to my older dog when she had trouble with digestion and it helped her. Bought it for the new pup when I noticed his stool was a little off. Within a week he was going more easily and the stool was much better.

Best for your buck

I discovered pumpkin purée for dogs a few years back. And have had all 5 of my dogs on this since. They all get one spoonful (3 tablespoons) each in they’re AM feeding only. Everyone’s different with they’re amounts. I like to make sure they get a moderate amount but not exceeding 8 tablespoons as that is the limit. All my dogs enjoy it in they’re food and always eager to have more. It’s helped with they’re gut health, skin, keeps they’re coats remain shinny and much more. It especially helps my senior go to the bathroom easier as well. Definitely recommend for anyone who is interested in adding this to they’re pups diet or help with stool issues. Overall 10/10 with this product, have not found a brand I liked better.

She won't eat it.

My 15 year old morkie who normally will eat pumpkin, will not touch this stuff. Unfortunately I have 12 cans which I will see if my neighbors want to try it with their dog/cat. Unfortunately my grocery stores only care 100% pumpkin in the fall around Thanksgiving.

Good for the tummy

Use this for my dog Charlie who had glands issues, Vet recommended trying this and it help. New pup has tummy issues so I add this to her morning meal. Seems to be helping with her poop issues. Wish it were a little thicker, on the watery side.

Lifesaver!

My geriatric dog is having loose stools, and my vet recommended adding a bit of pumpkin to his meals. It works like a charm. But, have you ever tried to find pumpkin this time of year in a grocery store? It's next to impossible. I was so happy to find this product, available in cases no less.

Nope to pumpkin

Unfortunately my dog didn’t like it. I have a whole case now to donate. Doesn’t mean your dog will not like it. Wish they would sell one can so you can try it first.

Very watery if your using it to give pills off a spoon

This is very watery.I like to use it on a big teaspoon to give my dog his pills and it goes all over the floor and its a big mess.I like the one at the Market better its thicker.I tried the refrigerator thinking it would make it thicker and it doesnt. It may be good to just put on your dogs food, but I wanted something more thicker like I said to give off a tablespoon with a pill
