At around 15 years old, the girl had what turned out to be a hormonal meltdown, but as part of trying to figure out what was going on with her, I pulled her off it. Wow, did I notice a difference in her soundness and stiffness when she wasn't on it (not in a good way). She's back on it (along with Regumate to deal with the hormones lol). The boy horse (technically a large pony, but he has 'horse' status for his efforts) is 23-ish and he went on it about a year ago. I didn't/don't notice the difference with him like I did with the girl, but I keep him on it. I suspect if I took him off it, Then I would notice the difference. They both eat it, including the picky eater girl. Another trainer from the first one (who noticed the difference unprompted) recommended the product, and when I asked the vet about it, she recommended it as well. My dog is on a dog version of it as well now. … more

Trouble getting my horse to eat it
By Bluebird26 on Mar 10, 2017
My horse gets very little grain and he is not eating it as well as I hoped. It maybe to soon to know if it is working or not, as I think that it takes time for these joint products to work. Recommended by osteopath and vet
By Buckwheat on Aug 8, 2021 top1000Contributor
While my gelding is showing no signs of age, he is 15. My osteopath said the only supplement he needed was Cosequin ASU. Anything else would probably be a waste of money. I know the vet supports it's use, too. He does eat it just fine.

Wonderful!
By Karin on May 22, 2021
My vet did not give my gelding a good out look. He damaged his knee and became lame..it hurt to watch him..after 2 weeks on this product he is walking with barely a limp..Even if he is unridable..he will be comfortable. Thank you..

My mare has been on this for 2 months and there is a noticeable difference! She is reaching better & less stiff. She isn't 100%, but has gone down a level in lameness & I believe its from Cosequin ASU!

Relatively inexpensive treatment for Arthritis
By horsround on Dec 7, 2020
My Vet Recommended this for my 20-year-old mare who has some clicking in her right knee and would be slightly lame when first being ridden. With CONSISTENT use, after two weeks, I saw noticeable Improvement and NO signs of lameness when I’d start riding her. Definitely saw a difference!

This product is great, and is available at multiple sites. However, Chewy has the best price and VERY quick delivery. My horses thank you!

Very Satisfied!
By KimA on Jun 13, 2020
Purchased for 14 year old gelding that would act stiff and sore. We have been using for 2 months and really feel that it has made a difference. His attitude when being ridden by my 12 year old son is much better. He is willing to work and appears very comfortable! Will continue to purchase.
