Picky cat doesn't know she's getting this ;-)
I can't rate the effective of this quite yet. My cat has only been taking it for a week. But I can say that it's easy to hide in canned food. My cat knows when meds are put in her food, but this one is a capsule that you break open and stir into canned food. She eats it all up and knows nothing ;-)
Easy to administer
The powder seems to be tasteless. Absorbs well into wet food. I use a broth or paste. My cat had a hip injury. When steroids were completed, his pain came back and he would hide. I started him on 2 capsules a day. And by day 3 he was coming out of hiding and back to himself. Minus jumping onto high areas.
20yr old approved
my 20 yr old street cat.. had since birth when I saved his momma .. lived first 2 yrs outdoor fighting.. surgery after surgery.. then brought inside but he does get daily 5 minute walks in the sunshine and grass .. he is now a ripe 20. had 9 teeth removed few years ago and blood work came back great. ate Blue Buffalo his whole life. he was sleeping more.. having to get him down to eat. limping.. so got this stuff and he is active with us again. hanging out on the couch spending time in different windows and begging to go outside more.. playing with a 1 yr old kitten and cleaning her all the time.. he's amazing. I have no children and he's my 20 yr old bestie.. this stuff works really great and I was nervous to give to my old man. first he didn't like it. I had to disguise in those tube treats. now I just sprinkle on wet food and cover with another spoonful and he eats . one cap every other day. 2 months and he's very active. friend and family admire my old cat that have also known him his whole life..buying more

Got it and I should have researched better before just listening to my vet and ordering this but it's got dyes and heavy metals in it.
Works great
This works great for my obese cat and her joints. My main comment is that two times I've ordered this, along with 25lbs boxes of cat litter, the litter has squashed the Cosequin boxes. Please use separate packaging! Thank you!
Good Things
Sprinkle capsules make it so easy to mix with my older kitties' meals. No drama! My Veterinarian recommended this. Quite pleased with results.
Chicken flavor means chicken food only
My male cat is 15 now & we need to get him some joint support going. Trying to find him something he’ll eat has been, well, a pain in the food bowl. These looked promising but bc they are a chicken flavor, that meant you could only have that favor of wet food to put them in AND would have to feed him that wet food every day. Not for my big guy. He likes variety and he picked it out right away that we put it in there if it wasn’t mixed up really well. Not worth it if we can’t mix it in anything he likes. Stuck w just one kind of wet food? Who wants that? Good product? Maybe it would’ve worked. Just wasn’t able to get that far. Now he’s on palliative care bc we’ve found out he has cancer, bad osteoarthritis and other health issues. Still needs that sort of supplements but we’re making sure it’s something he’ll enjoy in his final time here with us. Thanks Chewy for always being great about the refunds.
Good product
Nutramax consequin really helps our 14 year old Cali. I simply open the capsule and sprinkle 1/2 capsule into wet food and the remaining capsule the next time I feed her during the day and she doesn’t detect the medicine in her food. It really works, she can jump up onto things like a kitten!
Helps mobility
This product is helping my Persian cat run and jump better.
I Should Have Done My Homework
I give my arthritic cat Cosequin and I think it has helped her and I will continue to give it to her. However, I was fooled by the label "Maximum Strength." When I got it and compared it to the regular Cosequin, I found it had exactly the same ingredients in the same proportion - no difference whatever. I should have done my homework. I would have ended up with the same thing except a larger quantity at a lower price.
