is there a weight limit
Answer by ChewyOct 31, 2018
These supplements are suitable for dogs of all sizes.

How does this product compare to Dasaquin. Which is better?
Answer by ChewyOct 31, 2019
Dasuquin and Cosequin are both dog joint supplements made by Nutramax Labs. Both products contain glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM. The difference between Dasuquin and Cosequin is that Dasuquin also contains ASU, which is an additional ingredient believed to prevent cartilage erosion. We recommend consulting with your vet on the best option for your pet.

At what age can this be giving as a long term supplement for a young, very active dog? Can I start my 8 month old cattle dog on it?
Answer by ChewyFeb 06, 2019
This supplement is suitable for adult dogs.

Will the maximum strength have less filler (inactive ingredients) than the regular strength capsule?
Answer by ChewySep 30, 2019
The amount of glucosamine, chondroitin and manganese is much greater in the Cosequin DS capsules verses the Cosequin regular strength sprinkle capsules, this is why the capsules are bigger.

Suprised on how well it works

I have a GSD that’s approaching 8 years old. Extremely active for a short time and starts to slow down outside on our walks and begins to trail behind me. My vet recommend me this medication to try out to see if it’ll help him with any joint issues. He’s been on this medication for 2 weeks and I already see a great improvement on his mobility. It’s almost like he’s 3-4 years old again. We love to run out on our hikes and he was running ahead of me. Very happy with this medication.

Works great for pup with IBD

Had trouble finding an effective joint supplement that wouldn’t irritate his stomach problems. After a few days of taking the starting dose, he has a lot more energy on walks and during playtime, and he no longer has soft stools. I just mix this in with his wet food. Win win!

Working so far!

Seems to be doing as well as the GLC1000 that I have my dogs for years! I can no longer get that product so I went searching for comparable and fingers crossed, I think I found it! Thanks Chewy.com

Capsules easy-to-use

My beagle wouldn't eat 2 different Chews. So I tried the capsules. Just open and sprinkle on her food and she eats it all, no problem.

Works for picky dogs

My vet recommended Cosequin for my 9 year old Yorkie for arthritis. I was already giving Cosequin to my Pyrenees mix everyday to prevent joint problems later (chewable tablets). Well of course my picky Yorkie would have nothing to do with the chewable tablets, so I got the sprinkle capsules to mix with her wet food. She was a little hesitant the first day but no problems now. I can give these to my large dog too so they are a good value.

Best Joint supplement on the market

My bulldog had to have extensive surgery for a torn ACL a couple years ago and while successful, he has developed arthritis in that knee joint. I ordered this based on vet recommendations and after 4 weeks, there was a marked improvement in function/pain level! Also seems to help some arthritis in his back. One of the best things about this supplement is the absence of allergen-inducing ingredients like dairy/chicken/grains etc. It's just straight supplement. My pooch swallows it easily when rolled in a piece of ham. This is well worth a try for your pet! It's affordable, well-researched and vet-recommended, and in our case, made a huge difference!!

Easy to give and works

We have 5 dogs ranging in age from 10 Years to 2 years old. These sprinkle capsules are easy to give them because none of them will take meds. Our 10 year old hound was having an awful time with her back legs being stiff. A couple of months later she's much better. Our Rottie/Lab mix about 3 years is already having hip issues so he's much better also. Worth every penny.

Bad MoJo this stuff don't work for my dog's

I purchased these for my dog's joints waited 3 months and no results. With this stuff I noticed my dogs legs start shaking. I just switched back to Glyco-Flex and after 3 weeks shaking gone again. I will stay with Glyco-Flex for life.

Size guidelines misleading

The description said to give my sized dog half a tablet, but they are capsules filled with powder. At first, I thought I'd misread the instructions, but it's on the bottle, too. I've tried pouring half the powder into peanut butter, but it's a pain. These weren't cheap, either.
