How soon have people noticed a different after using this product?
Answer by • Sep 24, 2017
Since Cosequin is a supplement and provides nutrients to maintain your cat’s health, it works more gradually than drugs. Improvement using Cosequin can range from gradual to dramatic. Following the administration schedule on the label, we recommend an initial administration period of 4-6 weeks. Some cats may show an optimal response in a shorter period of time. The long-term maintenance level is one capsule every other day. Administration may be increased at any time depending on your cat's needs.
What is the difference between Dasuquin and Cosequin? They are both for joint health but say they are also recommended for bladder issues. A previous vet gave my cat Dasuquin, but my new vet (tech) had no idea there was a Dasuquin for cats and thought I must be talking about Cosequin.
Answer by • Oct 19, 2018
The difference between Dasuquin and Cosequin is that Dasuquin also contains ASU, which is an additional ingredient to prevent cartilage erosion.
Can you give the capsule directly to kitty? I doubt my cat would eat her food if she suspected I put something in there?
Answer by • Jul 03, 2017
It's recommended to sprinkle the capsule on your cats food.
I have 2 15-year olds and 2 6-year olds. They all "graze" from the same bowls. Will this have an adverse effect on the younger cats? Or "no worries"?
Answer by • Dec 21, 2020
The contents of the capsules may be given with a small amount of wet or moist food to ensure your cat eats the entire amount. We recommend consulting your veterinarian about your younger cats consuming this supplement.
