My fur baby just turned 5 years old, so I wanted to get him started on a supplement to hopefully help him in his senior years with arthritus & other joint issues. He has always been a very picky eater, so I've still got to find a way to get him to eat the soft chewy tabs. Product arrived quickly to my home & packaged very well. I've used Cosequin before, but your customer service was so nice in helping make the decision to go with Cosequin again. Thank You.
My 80lb staffy tore her ACL about 3 years ago - we ended up doing surgery, but the doctor said that chances were high that at some point she would tear the other one (since she would put more weight on in while recovering from surgery on the other leg), but he recommended these Cosequin chews. She recovered quicker than expected, and she never tore the other one. I've kept her on these consistently since then, and she is now a senior dog with minimal arthritis. My current vet (we moved) can hardly tell she even had surgery other than the scar! I'm sure it is probably a combination of the surgery being done well and giving her these chews, but I have a 9 year old 80lb dog that still jumps up on the bed and gets zoomies like nobody's business. If you are on the fence about it, get them!!
It's been a little over a week since we started her on this supplement for her joints and from my observation, it's making a difference. She's an 11-year-old Corgi and recently I've noticed that she's not been as spry. The vet cautioned us about her back, so we began these supplements and now she's taking the steps without hesitation. So far so good, glad to make her a little more comfortable!
I don’t know how anyone could possibly know whether these work or not. I give them to my dog for maintenance so I’m really not sure either way but she absolutely hates them. I ordered them by mistake thinking they were the chewable tablets I had been giving her before. She would eat the chewable tablet like a treat on its own or I would just toss it into her food bowl. I tried to give her one of these chewables like a treat and she spat it right out. The next day I tried to stick it in her food bowl and as soon as she got a hold of it, she spat it out along with the food that was in her mouth and wouldn’t touch her food for the rest of the day. They smell terrible. I’ve had to grind them up into powder and mix it in with her food to get her to take it. She gets dry food with a couple scoops of canned food so that helps disguise the flavor.
I have an 8 year old border collie mix and an 11 year old springer spaniel mix. Before we got him the springer had a broken leg as a pup. He is crazy active for a senior, scaling riverbanks etc. He slid off a cliff about 10 feet to a beach below and was walking around like nothing happened. I credit this to his joint chews! And my border collie was getting really grouchy , not wanting to go on walks, and snapping at the other dogs. I started him on these and he has been a happy camper ever since
We just started giving these to my 3 year old 100# lab mix who had issues with limping, jumping, and getting up and down. It has only been 1 week and he had the zoomies today, which we have not seen in a LONG time! He is still getting up and down gingerly, but we are very optimistic!
I only use those chews as preventative care for my golden retriever so I can not tell yet if they work for his joints and stuff. But he really likes to eat them and I feel like his coat got shinier and softer. They do smell quite strong and in the beginning my dog was a bit gassy from them, but that has stopped after a few days. For him it works best to give them in the morning with his food.
My little girl is getting older and the Cosequin capsules we had her on didn't seem to be quite cutting it anymore. I read up on all the supplements Chewy had to offer and decided to try these chewables. They really seem to be doing the job! She's back to not having problems with walking. She loves the taste and eats them right up!
Bought this for our six year old Great Dane and she is feeling so frisky after a week and a half taking 3 a day. So impressed !
My 11-year-old Pit mix suffers from arthritis, but after only a week on Cosequin we are seeing much less limping after she's been actively running. I also think the MSM (anti-inflammatory) is helping with her discomfort. I'm already a fan of this joint supplement!
