My Australian Kelpie is approximately 14-16 years old (I adopted her, she's not my biological dog, so I'm unsure of her actual age lol) and was beginning to show some weakness in her hips. I free-feed her with other dogs (she prefers to eat this way), so adding a supplement to her food wasn't a great option. I really needed it in a treat form. She is picky when it comes to treats, but she does like these. The first dose did upset her stomach, so I gave her some Pepcid and it took care of that quickly. She's been on the loading dose of Cosequin for about 2 weeks and I have noticed a small improvement in her movement. I am still giving Pepcid with every dose and plan to soon begin weaning her off the Pepcid slowly. I chose Cosequin because of the good reviews and my past positive experience using it for my horses. I tend to avoid brand new best-thing-ever products and prefer using things that have been around long enough to show an impressive track record of efficacy, like Cosequin. And the cost of this supplement is really quite economical. This bag will last my 30lb dog a very long time.
I have two St Bernard’s and they wouldn’t touch these and usually will eat almost anything. I can’t get them to even put them in their mouth. They smell them and are completely turned off. I have tried to hide in food, mix with meat and gravy, and stick in food processor with meat to mix up. They just won’t eat it. I will have to definitely buy something else.
We bought this for our old pug who has had some joint problems for over a year now. We tried a number of other products and nothing worked enough that it felt like a longterm solution….but just weeks after using this our old pug has so much energy and is feeling so good I forgot how silly he used to be! Wish we would’ve found this earlier but glad to have it now!!
I have an 8 year old corgi, and he has been limping continuously for months. Every single time he took a walk or every time he would lay down for a while. His limp was getting worse, and then I started him on these. Within two weeks he’s doing great! No more limping and way more mobile than he has been in a long time.
This stuff actually works. It smells awful, and my dog is not fond of the taste, but I noticed a marked difference after 1 dose. It's been 3 weeks now, and his limp is gone. This stuff isn't cheap, but it works.
My dog has a problem with right back leg do to a tear. Was limping on and off for several months even with rest. Was told a cosequin and decided to try it. Limp is almost gone after only 4 weeks. Very happy!!!!
My fur baby just turned 5 years old, so I wanted to get him started on a supplement to hopefully help him in his senior years with arthritus & other joint issues. He has always been a very picky eater, so I've still got to find a way to get him to eat the soft chewy tabs. Product arrived quickly to my home & packaged very well. I've used Cosequin before, but your customer service was so nice in helping make the decision to go with Cosequin again. Thank You.
I bought this product because I heard a lot of good things about it- I guess I should have asked my dog first- the smell and taste was not to his liking. I broke up the chuncks and put it in his food and he sniffed and walked away.
I have a German Shepherd and a Blue Heeler - these are easy to give since they chop them right up as if they're treats. I dont have to mess with peanut butter or wrap a pill in sliced meat!
It's been a little over a week since we started her on this supplement for her joints and from my observation, it's making a difference. She's an 11-year-old Corgi and recently I've noticed that she's not been as spry. The vet cautioned us about her back, so we began these supplements and now she's taking the steps without hesitation. So far so good, glad to make her a little more comfortable!
